Thanks for the wonderful Winona skill tree!

This is just a Winona appreciation post, dont mind me. 

En español primero porque esa es mi lengua materna. Perdonen pero me expreso mucho mejor en español. Empezare escribiendo que ella es mi personaje favorito por múltiples razones, aun recuerdo la primera vez que la vi, estaba conmocionado porque yo nunca me entero de cuando son las actualización y no tenia ni idea de que fueran a meter un  nuevo personaje al juego en aquel entonces, lo primero que pensé fue en lo fea que era haha. Pero aun así como estaba aburrido de usar a todos los demás personajes pues le di una oportunidad, y saben me sentí muy cómodo usándola, claro ella era Wilson 2.0 en aquel momento pero me gustaba eso, no tenia grandes fortalezas pero tampoco grandes desventajas. Después aparecieron los eventos especiales, The forge y The gorge en donde sus roles eran de mi gusto, además por algún motivo me daban muchas skins de ella en ambos eventos. Luego de todo los eventos y los nuevos personajes que agregaron ella se volvió mi favorita y cuando la actualizaron se volvió definitivamente mi personaje principal. Pero mas tarde añadieron el árbol de habilidades y tengo que decir que me sentí muy alegre por todo lo que le dieron a pesar de que ninguna de mis sugerencias se vio reflejada. Esto debido a que klei hizo lo que yo quería con el personaje, yo quería que ella fuera un buen personaje para la creación de bases independientemente de mis sugerencias, cosa que paso y lo agradezco mucho!

Ahora este post es para expresar mi agradecimiento por todo lo que han hecho por el personaje, si bien ella no es la mejor aun así me encanta usarla, yo soy alguien a quien le gusta diversificarse y no quedarse solo con un personaje pero ella es especial. Aunque admito que varias de sus skins son feillas y no es culpa de klei, la verdad ella es una mujer muy tosca y poco femenina en general pero aun así la disfruto, sobre todo con las skins que muestran su lado mas femenino, siempre pensé en ella como una mujer tomboy cosa que me agrada.

En fin, klei gracias por el árbol de habilidades, realmente me encanto! ella siempre seré mi favorita sin importar que personajes nuevos metan al juego, solo me gustaría que sacaran mas skins bonitas de ella, aunque también me gustan sus vestimentas rudas la verdad prefiero lo lindo y sencillo.

 

I'll start by saying that she's my favorite character for many reasons. I still remember the first time I saw her. I was shocked because I never know when the updates are, and I had no idea they were going to add a new character to the game back then. My first thought was how ugly she was, haha. But since I was bored of using all the other characters, I gave her a chance, and you know what? I felt really comfortable using her. Sure, she was Wilson 2.0 at that point, but I liked that. She didn't have any major strengths, but neither did she have any major weaknesses. Then the special events, The Forge and The Gorge, came out, where her roles were perfect for me. Plus, for some reason, I got a lot of skins of her in both events. After all the events and the new characters they added, she became my favorite, and when they updated her, she definitely became my main character. But later they added the skill tree, and I have to say I am really happy with everything they gave her, even though none of my suggestions were implemented. This is because Klei did exactly what I wanted with the character. I wanted her to be a great base-building character regardless of my suggestions, which she is, and I'm very grateful!

Now, this post is to express my gratitude for everything you've done for the character. While she's not the best, I still love using her. I'm someone who likes to diversify and not stick to just one character, but she's special. Although I admit that several of her skins are ugly, and it's not Klei's fault. She's a very rough and generally unfeminine woman, but I still enjoy her, especially with the skins that show her more feminine side. I always thought of her as a tomboy, which I like.

Anyway, Klei, thank you for the skill tree; I really loved it! She'll always be my favorite, no matter what new characters are added to the game. I just wish you'd release more cute skins for her. Although I also like her tough outfits, I honestly prefer something cute and simple.

Good to see others are having a lot of fun with this character, too!

Winona used to be one of the most disappointing characters for me. Even after she got her catapults, I didn't enjoy playing with her. She knew one thing and knew that very well, but to this day her catapults are the least interesting thing from her, to me at least.

Then the skill tree happened and she became and absolute jack-of-all-trades. The winbots are my favorite, but I also love the teleportation devices, and the Charlie glasses are just amazing early game. The bonus effect you can give the catapults with pure horror/pure brilliance are great touches, too. As of now, she's tied as my favorite character in DST, with Wormwood.

Also another thing that's well implemented in her skill tree is the shadow/lunar ability she gets (the one where you have to choose one and you are locked out of the other). It's not very interesting when someone just gets a damage boost and they call it a day (understandable when it comes to Wolfgang, sort of). There's a lot more story behind the choice Winona has to make. Woodie was the only other similar one in that regard.

What I look for in every new skill tree is a reason for me to try a character that I didn't have much interest in before. They did a pretty good job with Willow in that regard, even Wendy and Walter, but Winona remains the best designed skill tree for me. The only way I can see them top this is if they make Wes good to play somehow.

EDIT: oh and my favorite skins are the verdant and the victorian, which one is yours? :D:D

I like verdant too, it is a cute skin but my fav is guest of honor and the merrymaker :3

and i like the swashbuckler as well, it itsnt cute but i like it anyway.

After Winona got her skill tree, she easily became one of my favorites. Spotlights, WINbots, teleplatforms, planar strike... it's great.
