Of course, Carrat is a great helper for Wormwood. However, its egg-collecting feature actually becomes a nuisance in multiplayer games. In multiplayer, Wormwood is usually too busy with farming, and eggs produced in the birdcage are typically meant for food rather than fertilizer.

Despite this, Carrat ends up picking up all the eggs, so busy players like Warly have to stop what they're doing just to ask for their eggs back, and Wormwood has to return to give them back, which is a hassle.

To be honest, there would be no real inconvenience even if eggs were completely excluded from Carrat’s collection targets. I understand Klei's intention—eggs are a food ingredient, and they can also be used as fertilizer if they spoil.

That's why I hope you can at least let us choose which items Carrat should collect. It would be a big quality-of-life improvement to allow players to set Carrat’s collection targets as needed.

thank you :)

Carrats actually pick up any food item. but I do see your point. Maybe wormwood could have more control over carrats but I don't find it much of an issue to kill the carrats when I'm not using them. To solve that issue specifically, you can make birdcage further from the farm. Carrats are also not that expensive to make, and you usually only need one or two unless you are collecting a ton of stuff.

I’m already well aware of the solution you mentioned.

Of course, when I’m playing as Wormwood, it’s simple enough to just not use Carrat or to kill it.

In fact, I only use Carrat in the early game for gathering seeds because of that inconvenience.

However, when I’m playing as Warly, I think it’s too much to kill Carrat—or force killing it—just because I find it inconvenient.

If the egg had been an item that was truly essential for Wormwood, I wouldn’t have had this complaint.

I just can’t understand why an item that isn’t even very necessary ends up causing such discomfort.
