flamboyant wolf
I like Woodie and his skill tree, but I feel like his affinities could be a bit more interesting than they are now. My personal take on em, without taking away their current effect: Lunar: - full moons still don't transform you - full moon effect on forms strengthened(ex: full mooned Moose could have its charge attack do electric damage? like those moon storm things) - can make moon idol, that upon use, makes it so his next transformation has the full moon effect applied(maybe could be used on other objects/entities that have full moon interactions to induce an effect? probably a bit niche) Shadow: - Shadow creatures still do not attack him when transformed - Shadow parasites spawn when he is transformed and on low sanity, they sometimes latch onto enemies for a brief stun And some possible downsides, which affinities don't usually have but I think could be fun if they did: Lunar: detransforming induces grogginess for 15-20 seconds Shadow: parasites may sometimes target you, dealing no damage but giving a short stun 3 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168278-do-you-think-woodies-affinities-could-be-a-bit-more-interesting/ Share on other sites
Picklesaurus
Yes and this would be an opportunity to give Woodie's skill tree some progression and Wereforms proper scaling into rift content by giving them a Lunar/Shadow form depending on the affinity you chose and that you can access by infusing Kitschy Idols with Pure Brilliance/Pure Horror like in this topic: Edited October 2, 2025 by Picklesaurus 2 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/168278-do-you-think-woodies-affinities-could-be-a-bit-more-interesting/#findComment-1838055 Share on other sites
