Something we found ourselves doing in our last DST session is setting up a field of traps to catch spiders into right in the middle of an infested forest with nests on all sides. Attacking one spider obviously aggroes every other spider on screen, and causes them to chase you. But much of this horde quickly loses interest, leaving you with a much more manageable amount of spiders to trap... which i did, collecting the trapped ones and quickly killing them to free up space for more. Ironically, something I found myself wishing for in that moment is that all the de-aggroed spiders going about their business would instantly aggro and start chasing me after I kill one of them in my inventory. I'm not sure if that feasible in the current game engine, but if it is, I feel like this would be a nice addition, fitting in with the current spider mechanics, and a fun little difficulty to have to keep in mind.

this would really wreck up the trap's viability AND make an already-difficult task for new-to-middling players extra difficult. if you are in a group or are a veteran payer i can see why you'd want added danger BUT it feels really thoughtless to make the game harder for everyone else for a niche bit of play.

perhaps if the traps do not make you happy you should stop using them? there is no law requiring you to use traps and just hitting them directly will get you the result you desire without having to add more work for klei or the other players of the game
