The title says it all, really. Trying out the new beta and getting to the Belcher miniboss on enigmox super frenzy 5, which had a giant plant that sent out waves that reversed your controls for a decent amount of time. Control reversing is a long hated mechanic of mine, and I'm sure several other people feel the same. One of my friends absolutely hates this mechanic and it might make him not want to play the game to be honest. It just feels bad to deal with, and registering when you're afflicted by it and when it ends and reacting to it all, it just isn't very fun. I dealt with it when it was only the moths and their easy to dodge bubbles, but this feels like a little much. I know the wave itself is dodgeable, but when you're running around and dodging the other miniboss and all the little fluffballs, it's easy to have the plant be off screen while it's charging up the attack.

The control reversing effect here, confusion, is only given by spores which are easily avoidable and the Overgrown Peashooters bomb attack (as you mentioned). The Overgrown peashooters bomb attack can be avoided while dodging when its bomb goes off, and needing to dodge multiple times later on in the battle. I don't really think that confusion needs to be removed since it last fairly short. I think a greater indicator of the confusion radius or when its going to attack would be great though. I have beaten this SF 5 solo on Blisterbane Bog and I did not find it all that excruciating.

Confusion is also by the previously mentioned moth balls. It's not the point that it's dodgeable, or fairly short (it's like at least five seconds? that's a long time in battle). It's still annoying and unfun. I did it in SF 5 as well, it's not like it's impossible. Thinking something is annoying and unfun isn't the same as struggling with it.

Even replacing it with something like a slow is bad, because you have the Belcher boss trying to appear under you. The best solution, if it's not going to be removed, would yes, be giving it a better warning, or making it a slower wave attack, or giving it an icon if it's off screen when it's going to do that attack.
