Boneward Bound- Who is Charlie talking to?

In the animation Boneward Bound at 1:15, Chester falls into a cave and Charlie is talking to a shadow. I think this resembles Metheus/ the other ancient royalty whose name I cant remember but also ends with -eus or something. Thought this would be a pretty interesting piece of lore if anyone has more vivid memories of old DST lore details and can make a connection. The reverse spines on the shadows' back resembles the spines of the ancient statues, and also the same spines appear in the newest animation on Charlie's marble monster form that she dreams of
