[Solved]subscribed to mods not appearing in mod folder

It's how I've always done it, but now it seems to not be working and I have no idea why. 

I subscribe to a mod on steam, start up the game, apply it. The mod is there and functioning properly 

but when I go to my folder location, it isn't there. I'm trying to mod and have a look at code, but, nothing. Not there.
The location they should be in is: 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Don't Starve Together\mods 
Sometimes some mods seem to appear in here, others not? Even if the mod still functions and is selectable in the game. What am I doing wrong?

Only old mods go into the mods folder, newer ones go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\322330
