After Wagstaff disappears, instead of Wagstaff providing a spark arc, the boss itself drops a new material called Nucleation Fluid. The fluid’s only use is as a crafting ingredient to make more spark arcs. This is fine in of itself, but the problem arises that you also need a restrained static to craft the spark arc (in addition to 2 thule, which is easy enough). This means that after Wagstaff’s dissaperance, you are forced to run moonstorms in order to amass statics just so you can turn them into spark arcs.

I feel a simple solution is to simply use the new item you use to catch statics post Scion, the Static Restrainer, in place of the restrained statics instead. It would still serve as a container to hold the lunar-energy-thingamajig, and would be much easier to obtain (you simply craft it with 2 moon shards + 1 scrap).

Given that Wagstaff already provides you with spark arcs before he vanishes, I feel it makes sense for the resulting recipe to be relatively inexpensive/headache free compared to needing to go another mile just to craft them into the item you got without issue prior.

Maybe they should allow you to make it with restrained static and doing so will make it already charged.

I don't understand who this change is aimed at. Who on earth would even want to waste useful restrained statics to craft useless spark arcs?

For a short term world (aka boss rush) I can't imagine Scion not being the final boss. By the time you beat it, you at the very least have already obtained both spark arcs for the two useful crafts you need - bearger bin and howitzer. Even the third one for ice crystaleyezer is redundant since the item itself is pretty bad and doesn't help you to progress with the Scion killing. And you certainly won't really need more spark arcs after defeating Scion if your goal for the world was to just kill all bosses.

For a long term world I again don't see the need to have many spark arcs. Maybe if there are several people on the server it would make sense to bother. But in my longest term world I amassed so many spare spark arcs over the years of killing mutant bosses, and no real uses for them. It makes no sense to craft spark arcs with such an expensive item as restrained static which has another use (summoning CC which results into crown shards for infinite chests, Winona gemerators and glowcaps). The other way around (crafting restrained statics with spare spark arcs) would make a lot more sense to me.
