Dear Klei Entertainment, I really wish you guys can make a update version of DST just for switch 2, I mean I am playing a 720p 30 fps DST on my switch 2 is weird, I am pretty sure switch 2 is capable for a at least 1080p 60 fps DST, even 120 fps maybe, please I really wish you guys can offer the update

Upgraded the hardware for the same poopy software

Edit: not the game, just the port. Still fun enough, but the switch version struggles. You can really see where some sacrifices were made for stability and performance.

A switch 2 release would split the already small user base. There's no reason to ask or hope for it. At least we're dealing with way less performance issues and I'd rather they focus on making the version that's already available run better and updates to not take months.

The original Nintendo Switch is capped at 4 players maximum, the PS4 & Xbox One version of the game is capped out at 6. The PC version of the game can support 8-10+ players.

The PS5, Series X/S & Switch 2 should be capable of that, however the game is still being held back by supporting Last Gen.

You play Switch. You can see that rarely there are more than a few lobbies with 3+ players.

The majority of lobbies have 1 or 2 players.

You're asking Klei to hand make a Switch 2 version for you at this point. What makes you feel like the switch user base is big enough to warrant such a change, and that the switch 2 user base is equal to or greater than the Switch 1 user base?

The easiest solution is to buy a PC.

The user base is small because the switch version is bad. If they can make a switch 2 version that isn't as, it might pick up a few people. Not willing to give them another shot on a Nintendo product myself, they dropped the ball way too hard on the switch. Really shouldn't have been released, shame on Klei for charging money for such an inferior version. Makes the entire franchise look bad if this is all you play.

It's held back by a bad console dev team more than anything.

I agree the switch version is the worst but that's not preventing anyone from playing it. I play it on Switch even though I have the PC version.

You're assuming people that buy DST know of all the different versions and make an educated choice to not buy Switch DST.

Reality is most people will see it during a sale and give it a try, and then quit because its either too hard or not what they expected.

Prior to recently, gameplay wise, the biggest issues you'd have on switch would be AFW and Crabking. But both could be cheesed really easily. Most people don't even get that far anyways.

So I think its a combination of poor connection related issues (assuming others deal with the issues I have) and a demographic that is looking for something different.

From what I'm hearing switch 2 dev kits are absurdly scarce and have been since the console's launch. only really going out to a handful of developers who have some sort of deeper relationship with Nintendo (e.g. Supergiant having a console exclusivity deal for Hades 2, which they'd also done with Hades in the past).

I'm sure Klei like most devs have Switch 2 versions or updates in their sights, but without a devkit there's not much to be done

It's preventing me from playing it on switch. Looking at the numbers, it's dentally the least popular. The switch 1 sold almost three times more consoles than the Xbox One. If it weren't preventing people from playing, it would probably have more players.
