By the way, I'm not French nor do I speak it. I just thought it sounded cool. It's a "Salon of Art and Nonsense" so expect some really terrible theories from time to time.

SPEAKING OF WHICH!!

I was trying to sleep the other night when I suddenly had a brainwave... what if George T. Witherstone's daughter is Lucy. I know I sound crazy but hear me out—

The facts: Maxwell's quote for Lucy implies a prior connection.

Quote

"Ah. How have you been, Lucy?"

Seems not very friendly nor particularly aggressive. We don't actually know whether Maxwell ever directly interacted with Witherstone or if he just ordered through a mail catalogue, but if he did visit a physical store he might have met or seen Witherstone's daughter, or heard about her from Witherstone himself. Another fact is that Witherstone has an American passport, but was at the time of Wes's short living in France. Hmmm, what's a place that's like America but they speak Le French? That's right: 🍁CANADA🍁

Given that Maxwell's method of abducting Witherstone Wes differs from many of the other Survivors (He made no attempt at manipulation and also committed the act in broad daylight), I believe that Wes was one of the first people to be taken. This was probably not long after Maxwell's final act. Another confirmed fact is that by 1919, Woodie had been reported missing (see Winona's short).

My hypothetical timeline:

1896?: Lucy Witherstone born

1906~1908: Maxwell makes his attempt to capture G. T. Witherstone and ensnares Wes instead.

1908~1914: At some point, Witherstone and his daughter move to Canada (precisely where I haven't the foggiest.)

1914~1917: Lucy Witherstone, now a young adult, courts with and probably marries Woodie.

1917~1918: Lucy dies somehow. Distraught Woodie contacted by Maxwell via radio, potentially convinced to complete some dark magic ritual to bring Lucy back, perhaps by channelling her spirit through the axe. The ritual pulls Woodie into the Constant, where he is reunited with Lucy in axe form.

Thnx 4 reading
