But even if we discard the narrative reason this clashes with his identity, it also feels weird to gain benefits from dietary restrictions? Like it kinds of goes against fundamental principles of the concept of nutrition... I guess you could argue an angle that a psychological shift would be the core idea behind these skills (sloppy example: taking a carnivore diet is a conscious decision on warly's part, which leads to him also deciding to tweak his behavior accordingly resulting in more ferociousness in combat [damage multiplier up]) But it's just generally ill-fitting is the real problem. If we were only concerned with creating opportunities to make the Warly experience feel distinct, I don't think it's that bad in that regard. It's just that, I would say maybe it feels uninspired since you're rehashing already existing gimmicks from Wurt and Wigfrid. And goodies only is... not currently feasible. Hypothetically if the skill tree came with new, easier to access Goodies dishes it could be kind of interesting. Overall, I'd rather see something besides this. It's a "would be cool if we had unlimited resources to play around with a variety of concepts" but we're only getting the one skill tree so we could probably do better than that.
