With all the new content currently in and future content that will surely add even better gear, I feel as though we should have a creative way to be able to continue using the staves and amulets should they ever be replaces while also being able to add new uses to older less used items. My first main idea is to bring back the gemology tab, but instead of being solely for all the gem items it should be for new unique ways to play with the gems we currently have, including new hybrids and special items to mess around with them. The Gemologist's Stand is a new crafting station much similar to the britesmithy and the shadowcraft plinth in how you can't prototype and need the stand to make any items in the gemology tab. Some examples of new items include:

  • Frostburnt Gem Stand : It resembles a red and a blue gem that are tied together on the end of a staff haphazardly, it is used for the purpose of creating a frostburnt gem, a mixture of a red and a blue gem that is not a purple gem, by placing it in a fully completed moonstone while it is NOT a new moon. A smaller version of the moonstone event will happen that will last longer depending on how far away the moon phase is from a full moon, with a full moon making one in less than 30 minutes. The resulting frostburn gem can then be used in certain items, such as:
  • Flame Amulet : It is very similar to how a frost amulet functions, except instead of lowering your own temperature it raises your own temperature. It also has the side benefit of lighting anything that damages you on fire for half as long as if you hit them with a torch. It also has double the durability of a frost amulet.
  • Endothermic Fire Staff : A fire staff that lights fires that are endothermic, much akin to how a regular fire staff works. If an enemy is lit on fire with it, they will still burn, but the fire will be incapable of spreading, only dealing damage and panicking the enemy and any others nearby, making it much easier to use in combat. If used on a tree or structure, it will "burn" blue flames like normal, but after it is done the charred remains will be tinted blue and glossy, almost as if it was coated in ice. Breaking these burnt trees will have a 75% chance to drop an ice and a charcoal and a 25% to drop 2, while breaking any burnt structure will drop the regular structures materials with a 100% chance to drop an ice.
  • Dirty Orange Gem It resembles an orange gem that is coated in purple strands due to being the combination of 2 purple gems and an orange gem, it is used for crafting usually, but also has an extra special use in how it can be used in a telelocator focus. If all 3 slots are filled with dirty orange gems, the telelocator will become much more powerful, being able to withstand 10 teleports before all the gems break. Once you put the gem in the sockets, they will NOT be removable.
  • The Lazy Escorter It resembles a lazy explorer but with the new dirty orange gem as the head, it has two main functions. If you use it yourself it will let you telepoof just as a regular lazy explorer would, but if you try to use it on an enemy, it will then ask you to right click again in an empty spot, and doing so will teleport the other enemy exactly where you tell it to. It has 40 uses but uses double the uses on telepoofing boss enemies.
  • Refined Telelocator Staff The combination of a dirty orange gem and a telelocator staff gives it new purpose, as if an active telelocator focus exists in the world, it will let you teleport yourself or anything directly next to you at only a 30 sanity loss per person. You can also use it on other entities to teleport them. If there is more than one active telelocator focus in the world, right clicking yourself to teleport will first bring up the map, and upon right clicking it will bring you to the closest focus to your mouse, letting you choose what destination you want to go to. It has 10 uses.

There are probably more ideas I could think of but these are the most applicable ones I can think of at the moment. The main theme of the gemology tab is combinations and new uses of the current gems that we currently have, rather than having completely new ones to play with.
