My cute little Lura farm using gnits, with wild lumbs added for auto-harvesting

Notice the two reservoirs on the right. This is the "breeding box", where gnits hatch and are confined to a 1x1 area. On this cell are about 30 morbs which are used as sting targets for the gnits.

How it works is eggs are regularly dropped into the breeding box. This simple conveyor construction allows an egg to drop without any irregularities by keeping 1 egg always on the rail

Since this farm supports 18 exuberant plants, that comes out to around 6 excess gnits/cycle. Hence, we set the timer sensor to once every 97 seconds which should comfortably cover that.

Excess eggs are then shipped to the farm reservoir, where it gets eventually slurped up by voracious plants

I'm currently using exuberant plants for compactness, but you can do a wide 50+ tile farm too, or multiple farm tiles in an array. As long as the gnits are in an open room, there is no real limit besides your PC.

Note some water-bending is required to get the liquids in the right place, but nothing too bad and doesn't require viscogel

This particular design will yield about 1584kg of amber/cycle with zero input and has a relatively small footprint
