I've purchased DST for a few consoles at home (PS, Xbox & Switch) and I'd like to setup a dedicated server on my PC so that we can all play as time allows.

If there's a document that answers all of these questions, please link me.

Thanks in advance!

Will consoles (PS, Xbox & Switch) connect to a dedicated server running on a PC on the same network?

Afaik Consoles don't support connecting to dedicated servers, since dedicated servers would allow the usage of unfiltered mods, which is unwanted by Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft in their console environment.

Consoles only support P2P. (Unless that changed in one of the recent-ish updates)

What's the latest most accurate set of instructions for setting up a dedicated server on a PC?

Personally I'd use the first one, as steamcmd is just the easiest way to setup and maintain a DST server.

Yes, using steamcmd. The download to the server is accessible to everyone, however you need to have a valid Klei account with a DST license attached to it to generate a key that is used to launch the DST server.

Hi @Daniel86268 - thanks for the reply here.

Sorry for the late reply - I missed the notification for this.  I suspected as much but I bought DST in Steam anyway, got the server up and running today and sure enough, not showing up.  Bummer.  Thanks again for your time and help here.
