Carib94
As the Title says Tough Meat only has 1 recipe in the smoker but I believe this is a good opportunity to give some love to the Deep Fryer and add a recipe with Tough Meat. In the FPP Beta we had a recipe in the fryer called Deep Fried Steak which is still in the ingame database(you can even spawn it in sandbox). The steak can makes it return with Tough Meat + Tallow + maybe lettuce to produce it as +5(superb) quality food. I believe the fryer needs a +5 food imo it requires a kitchen, radiation research, and requires the most power out all cooking stations for crying out loud lol. Make it happen!!! gigamoi
Agreed. As a player, I tend to prefer late-game and contraption building and, as such, will inevitable end up using nothing but +16 morale food. Everything else gets turned into isosap if I can't make +16 food out of it. Don't get me wrong, I think the existing recipes are great at providing variety early to mi-game, but I just don't do much of that. One of the more interesting options I've seen in the beta is the ability to now turn calories into brine ice via rhex ranching. You can turn virtually all foods into meat/critters via hatches or sage hatches, and then feed them to rhexes. Turning food into water (and a bit of salt) can support a bunch of alternate industries or make more oxygen for even more dupes.
