Speculation regarding the Celestial Jewel

The current ID for spawning the Celestial Jewel is lunar_seed. Does this imply that the Celestial Jewel is somehow used to cultivate something or act as the catalyst for a new event? Does imply that there is more progression? 

These are speculations, of course, given that this is just the ID of an item in beta that will normally not be available to the player.

The celestial orb's prefab is moonrockseed and its been in the game for 10 years so I doubt it's a big deal
