Changes

  • The drones deployed by Grainy Transmission have switched which one is created depending on the Cage given.

  • Fixed a crash with Wandering Trader.
  • Fixed Wandering Trader having an infinite amount of certain trades.
    • All trades are intended to have limits please let us know if you see any more that have no amounts.
  • Fixed a crash with Grainy Transmission chasing an Energetic Static.
  • Fixed a crash when generating a world without caves and having mods enabled.
  • Fixed an issue with freecrafting not working for items that need crafting stations.
  • Fixed missing grid placer for turf placement and Pitchfork use.
  • Fixed aligned structures grid squares not showing on boats.

Just a suggestion, I think it would be nice if the wandering trader had one random unlimited trade per restock event. This would make encounters with the wandering trader early and late game more special as it would give players the opportunity to stock up on a material and trade it all once they get the special trade they are looking for.

Can you please change Wagstaff from stealing Pearl’s island, we did all her quests helping her out and making it look nicer and now she looses it.

A suggestion would be to make another island in the ocean for Wagstaff to spawn on and use to fight the new boss.

Maybe once you've opened the lunar rifts, another unnatural portal will open somewhere in the ocean and start creating new land (like in the Curse of the Moon Quay trailer).

and then by the time you've defeated the third lunar mutant, it'll be a finished, empty little island for Wagstaff's experiments (or for you to redirect Wagstaff to, in case you still want the first option of evicting Pearl for thematic reasons or something.)

After fighting the first phase of the new boss, and experiencing the beta as whole so far I can say that I am very happy with the way this update is going! However there are a few things that I would like to be changed.

1.) I would like to see a reaction from Pearl to both Wagstaff being on her Island, and the inhabitants of the Moon Quay. Maybe for the Moon Quay she can have some ambient dialog about how she made a deal with the monkey queen for protection, and or a slight house modification with something like a Moon Quay flag to show she's allied with them? At the moment it feels like an afterthought.

2.) A indication that Wagstaff is on Pearls Island is definitely needed. Depending on how you wanna do it you can have it done via something like Wagstaff's dialogue when new abandoned junk spawns / Bottle dialogue / A new research note from Wagstaff detailing the plans for the WARBOT and his plans for its location. You most certainly don't have to use the examples I provided, but something is definitely needed.

3.) I think the Celestial Revenant should linger after you defeat it instead of just reforming after a few seconds with Wagstaff saying you should harvest it, at first I thought that that was the new boss and was kind of underwhelmed.

4.) I also think that the Celestial Revenant should have a somewhat different move set to just phase one Celestial Champion. I do really love the idea and design of the Celestial Revenant, but I want it to have a tiny bit more unique move set. I suggest have a mix of all 3 stages move set in there to make it more interesting like having the pillars from the second phase with the lasers from the final phase. It's fine in it's current state but I do really want it to have a more unique move set, it would make it seem much more like the Celestial Champion is trying to redeem itself and stop Wagstaff instead of it just being a husk which I don't think is what your going for.

5.) This one is much less needed and may just be a me thing, but I would love for the traveling merchant to scale up with game progression. The first one would make the merchant useful throughout the game, because at it's current state it isn't selling anything worth after a certain progression point. I don't know what items they would sell but maybe boss drops like dragon scales / annoying things to get like wax paper would be good. Also exclusive items would be neat, but I have no ideas for any items (cosmetic plushies similar to YOTB?) I mainly just wanted to throw that out there. A buildable stall where you could find him would be cool, but as he is a "Traveling Merchant" I understand if y'all don't want to add that.
