Constant crashes past Day 50 on PlayStation 5

My game keeps crashing past day 50 on shipwrecked it is monsoon season. it is really annoying as to make any progress i must leave like every 10 seconds or else I crash and go to my last save. is there any known fix or am i just screwed?

Sadly, the state of the game on PlayStation is really bad! It is not playable at all! And they already said that they would not do anything about it anymore. So yeah, if I were you, I would just delete the game and move on. ;(

Ok coming back so that anyone else who has my issue can see. I deleted and redownloaded my game and then it didn't crash anymore. but it is also now dry season so it could be monsoon season that crashes. 

so potentially delete and redownload your game or turn flooding off as that is what I'm theorising to cause crashes

Yea I had the same issue around day 50 and It really sucks

If that's true and I they won't do anything about it then why even sell it, the only thing you get are characters that most of the time take 50+ days to get and half are only good in this dlc. I get leaving DS since it's complete but it's a game breaking bug that could be fixed if they tried (since it wasn't like this 3 years ago)

Does anyone have confirmation of the devs saying they won't fix it because that just a scam since they're selling you a broken item saying it ain't

The game works fine if you play in the early days of RoG. The problems and issues you will face are in the late-game stages. Your game will crash randomly, and when you try to link your world to the DLC worlds, your game will crash every time you travel between shards.

In SW, the game will crash here and there, even in the early days of the game! And the issue with that is, every time the game crashes, it will reset you to the beginning of the day! So you will lose everything you did during that day.

For Hamlet, I didn't play it that much, so I have no idea what goes there, except there is a FPS issue sometimes.

Overall, you can not play the game as it was designed to be played; therefore, yeah I for myself at least, could say that the game is not playable at all, and what makes me really sad is that Klei did the efforts and time to bring the DS QoL update to console for no reason, no one could enjoy it :\

They didn't say that "they would not fix it"... all they said is:

The game randomly crashes, and linking world will cause your game to crash every time, which is not that big issue, I suppose? and I'm sure there are many more bugs and issues that I couldn't reach because I just gave up on the game to be honest, so yeah... If you have no issue with these bugs and you only want to play the first couple of seasons, you're fine.

It's annoying crashing everytime you hop shards but at least it doesn't reset the save , it's just when I'm playing shipwrecked past day 50 it crashes every 3 mins and resets, I know it wasn't like that around 3 years ago, so there final update was really let's make shipwrecked unplayable

I tried to get help from Klei for a year and just haven't.

I am getting a Lua error at day 17 if I'm on an island NEAR water beefalo. If I'm somewhere else, I can get to 20 days. If I quit right before it crashes, I can limp along for another 5 days. Eventually, the error appears immediately. As you all know, on a PS there isn't much you can do.

I have tried everything I can think of, and some I found online, with no success. It is clearly an issue within the game but I really have hoped that maybe someone, somewhere, knows some secret that I (we?) don't. I want this to work, darn it!

• Uninstalled/reinstalled
• Deleted the files in the app folder when it happens. I just end up with nothing saved - obviously.
• Rebuilt the database on the PS
• Cussed  a lot
• Restart as soon as the error happened, because...

And it ONLY happens in Shipwrecked. ONLY Shipwrecked.

It's not your fault, and there is no secret fix or a way to pass these bugs. It's just a poor port of the game from PC, without any further plans to fix or address any issues that arise from this bad port. 

To this day, I reminisce about the good old DS, and to this day, I get the itch to play it again. However, then I remember all the bugs and issues, and I just move on with my day.

I would suggest this to you, too.
