It's cumbersome to select quick crafting tabs when the slingshot is equipped...

When you don't have the slingshot, you can flick up on the analogue stick and select whatever you item you want to quick craft.

When you have the slingshot equipped, you flick up, your focus jumps to the slingshot ammo, but you can't flick up any more. You have to flick left to get to the tabs, and then continue to flick up to the actual quick craft you want.

You should be able to flick up from your slingshot ammo and continue going up.

I'm not averse to keeping the flick left option, there are probably people who've developed the muscle memory for it.
