Ace Cryogen Posted April 2, 2025 Share Posted April 2, 2025 (first time coming to the forums, not sure if this was the correct place to post this) So I was trying to play with one of my friends via steam and he was able to move around and interact and play as normal, but I wasn't able to walk away from the florid postern, or examine or pick up items. I was the one hosting the world, and pressing tab showed both our connections as good. Pressed backspace, and my ping was at 0 last and 0 average. I later tried creating another world and joined it alone, same thing, unable to do anything. Can anyone please guide me as to how I can fix this? If there's some details you need, I can provide them. I'm playing on a macbook air m3, if that makes any difference. cropo Posted April 2, 2025 Share Posted April 2, 2025 Sounds like an incompatibility with a mod. This happened to me in a beta where I was using a mod that makes the eyemask stay at 0% instead of breaking, and it caused my game to brick itself when I tried to equip a brightshade helm. (This was the beta that introduced the repair kits for them I think). Are you using mods? Trying to examine or pick items also just ends up in the character looking at the item for a while. Turned off lag compensation, now even if I just press a direction once and release the key, the character keeps moving in that direction until I click with the mouse.
