How do yall feel about the more recent shorts?

I was talking about it with a friend but I wanna see other people's takes on it; how do you all feel about the animated shorts recently using gameplay shots into it. Do you prefer just pure animation? A mix of both? Lore focused or just shenanigans? Even related to the update at all? 

Also I know they did this before years back but I just noticed that it's been used much much more recently lol

I think that they do an animation+game shorts every other update. It is just that now we get shorts more often.

I think the cinematic + gameplay make a better trailer showing off new content. I do prefer the cinematic only videos, generally.

Depends on the update. If it's an update more geared toward in game content, I like having both. If it's an update primarily focused on lore with maybe minor gameplay changes, I think purely cinematic is good

I get why they split them into update trailers and intermissions, but the tales from the constant format is amazing.

My only real problem with the pure cinematic shorts is there's only one that actually prominently features survivors interacting (Hide and seek), which is by no coincidence my favourite short in the last three years for that exact reason. Other than that, they've focused on Werepigs, Merms, Wagstaff and Chester. Which is great to see, don't get me wrong but I long for more animated survivor interactions.

I like it enough to show off the skill trees, but it definitely pulls me out of the story behind it.
