The sproutrock is causing too much lag.

I've collected dozens of sproutrocks from the server I've been doing for 8000 days, and the lag is too bad.

At first, I thought it was caused by a collision with a mode.

But it was the same with all the mods removed from the newly created server.

Of course, the more objects there are, the more they cause a lag, but the sproutrocks are especially bad.

I've taken down sproutrocks as a temporary solution, but I need a fundamental solution.

I assume client FPS issues, yes? The reason is quite simple, and shared with above average trees: sproutrocks are composed of a lot of (animated) sprites, and the game doesn’t handle that too well when there’s a lot in an area.

I myself have all of my sproutrocks in my DFly desert to help accomedate the issue, and also as a good reminder to check them (since the 20 day respawn time of DFly means a lot of the sproutrocks have grown by that point). My game still really doesn’t like rendering them, but given it’s an area I don’t frequent I don’t personally mind too much.

In my case, when there are about 30 sproutrocks, it is similar to when there are 1,000 evergreens.

Sproutrocks are not only useful, but they look great, so I want to keep them as close as possible and use them to decorate my house.
