You would think so??? But people were complaining about everything at the time.

Pretty much everything that got nerfed was complained about and not liked.

Cursed vex, shadow Abby's damage and planar defense, grave relocation, etc. Were disliked.

Closest thing to getting liked was player tag, but people turned on it soon enough when it was found out that it doesn't work on all bosses (turns out it does, just not as effective)

I don't remember the thought about gestalt Abby tbh. From what I remember, people were complaining that it was locked behind the lunar alignment, but I could be wrong and that was liked.

afaik they have been complaining from the very beginning, from the point when her skill tree was released. That's actually how they got the floral shroud skill removed.

Floral shroud was stated to be planned to be reworked due to the backlash, it being removed was something seperate. 

Honestly, the backlash was kinda okay? It wasn't as harsh, and it did kinda make no sense to encourage a playstyle of Abby getting smacked around. Also allowed 'just hold f' styles

I liked the shroud in concept, but in practice it just didn't work. It just turned Abi into a blood bag, I literally just stayed starving in my tests because it was funny to be invincible.

A special body item that allows special interaction with Abby is cool yeah. Sad that it was only limited to being either about the survivability of Wendy or Abby.

Kinda wish they gave it other used. Could have even removed it and replaced with the void rope (see Wendy's quotes for it) and had some cool shadow magic tricks

I remember the reason why they want the shroud removed is because players think "Wendy would never want her sister to get hurt"

also I'm not sure how they could balance that... I've seen people tanking dfly with only floral shroud and hambat, and staying starving/freezing/overheating as long as Abby gets healing. Have to say it's quite a creative concept.

It was stated that it was gonna be changed to give Abby the benefits and armor from Wendy's head slot armor while Wendy was wearing the shroud. Jason said that thid was scrapped because they thought that Wendy players aren't looking for a glass cannon playstyle or smth, which ig implies that the plan was gonna make only Abby benefit from head armor, and make Wendy not benefit from it.
