997Golfer
We discovered during @Mr Giggio's stream recently that beefalo will now transform from being fed while riding, but will buck you off of it to do so. We talked about how that could be potentially dangerous if it happens at the wrong time. Today it almost killed him, bucking him unexpectedly while running from terrorbeaks: https://www.twitch.tv/mrg1ggio/clip/ZealousAntediluvianDootPlanking-5p23Lh2TezzUempN Given that we don't know the precise moment the beefalo will transform without mods, I think leaving it as is not a good idea. It would be better if the beefalo doesn't transform until the next time you feed it while dismounted, or if the beefalo transformed into the tamed state without bucking the rider off. Pig Princess
I want to add that if player tries to mount beefalo before it finishes it's transformation animation, beefalo never transforms fully and at least their obedience and appearence continue to work like beefalo is untamed. It's hard to replicate, and I didn't test if damage stays the same in case non-default tendency. I have a clip of that of my own I can report as a bug later because it’s a bug issue and not beta related. Developer DiogoW Posted February 21, 2025 Developer Share Posted February 21, 2025 Thank you for catching these Beefalos will no longer buck you off when being fed, and they're ready to become domesticated. Fixed issues related to interrupting Beefalo’s “become domesticated” animation.
