Woby Shouldn't Cower When *Killing* an Enemy

Recommended Posts

I feel like the skill that allows for Woby to pick up items for you is meant to be used in situations such as killing a butterfly or bird with your slingshot, and then it's very convenient because you don't have to walk over to pick up your morsel or butterfly wing. However, the skill appears to be significantly hampered in that most of the times that you shoot one of these completely harmless mobs, Woby will take a few seconds to cower in fear instead of picking up your item. If that didn't happen, it would be a nice minor buff to this fetch skill. I'm also not sure if thematically Woby *should* be afraid of things like butterflies.

my reasoning is that woby is afraid of combat and violence, not monsters. but yeah your suggestion is great, maybe woby shouldn't cower too long, or maybe her cowardness resets faster when walter fight neutral/passive mobs

Woby being terrified of killing a butterfly is kinda strange.

Going off of the trailer, I thought that Woby cowers because she is extremely worried about Walter's safety because she knows that he has no survival sense (he tries to pet the deerclops), but then the butterfly interaction doesn't seem to make any thematic sense.

I like the fact that she cowers, it gives her personality, like, if you do the same with a beefalo they just stand there doing nothing.

But I agree that she shouldn't cower for so long, out of just killing birds/butterflies she cowers for like 3 seconds with each kill, or does this weird back and forth where she runs away but goes back to pick up the drop. Maybe when it comes to critters she should do the opposite, try to catch them, after all shes a dog
