Spiders are too hard

You used to be able to go up to a tier-3 spider den and lure the regular spiders out in groups of 3, then when it was empty, chop it down, terrified that it was going to spawn a spider queen the whole time.  Now, when you hit the den, a spider warrior, or 3 pop out and pretty much kill you.  Ok, not if you're a Weremoose or Strong Wolfgang or Wigfrid.  But for the other survivors, to be dealing with this on day 11, biomes overrun with spiders after a few seasons... It feels too much.  Maybe you made them spawn spider queens later or something to balance this, IDK.

It's one spider warrior per nearby player. One isn't hard to deal with, just tank it with armor. If more players are nearby, have them help you fight

I think it's alright.

High spawn chance forces you to put in effort by planning your spider farm and requires you to think about whether you want just one nest that might cause problems or a whole bunch, forcing you to put in more effort when getting the "cheap" resource you need later in the game.

And as for the random queens that appear in the world, you can just ignore them. With need you can deal with them by fire and friendly pigs and rabbits aaaand magic and... etc. Just be abit creative :> You can start a spider wars even if you are not  Webber *wink*.

if you wear down the regulars correctly you'll only have one warrior to deal with at worse

Please don't tell me you are struggling with the most basic enemies in the game. A Level 2 Slime is your greatest concern.
