DVGMedia Posted February 9, 2025 Share Posted February 9, 2025 Alot of times something doesn't land correctly because of the person or thing delivering the message I kind of feel like thats the case with wendys skill tree. You can take all thats there and have it applied through different means and it would make the tree much better without actually changing anything. The biggest perpetrator of this Is ghastly experience and sisturn 3. Where if abby got playertag via potion. It wouldn't have the same hate as it would coming from Blessed sisturn. The same also would be with shadow abby on her alignment. We can keep murder powering up abby. But what if she is treated more like the maul? Gaining sacrifices overtime and boosting her up . but if abby dies all that progress gets reset. Which would be the pure throwback that klei wishes to implement on the skill tree. These are only the ones had ideas for. And I think wendys tree could be so much better if the route the player takes to achieve the things in her tree were different. And required less tedium. Doing so would make it so we no longer have skills that are soely there just to make something else work. Because thats really been the story of the wendy skill tree. This is the vision we have for it And we are going to make adjustments and changes purely to make that vision work. Doing so however does kind of ruin quality of life and muscle memory of players that play her. Especially with the new way the flower works with a spell wheel. And how elixers can no longer be applied onto abbys flower meaning you need an inventory slot to be able to apply them. It occures to me that after PlayerTag acquired the healing debuff, it actually became a capability that needed to be used depending on the situation. Sisturn works as an immovable structure that takes effect globally when activate. It encourages you to build it in the base, activate it and leave and enjoy the buff, and you don't have any way of refusing it (This can be a huge problem when there are multiple Wendy's/Sisturns on the server). This means that Sisturn is better suited for getting absolutely objective gains that don't require switching depending on the situation, and Elixir should be the system that provides the gains that need to be used in different scenarios. Yes, it would be better to give playertag to Elixir, which would also solve the problem of playertag+ heal elixir in a more intuitive way.
