Shadowy Abigail is still my favorite (DPS SHOW)

Hi everyone, I'm just sharing my opinion after shadow Abigail's nerf. Some wrote that now it would be obvious to take the moon, but as for me, they are now on the same level. Compare it yourself and draw your own conclusions.

I mostly use the shadow maul, so there are no additional damage items except for Wendy and Abigail. Yes, as you can see, the DPS of the gestalt is better, but the shadow one is much easier to get, it causes AoE damage and it can also be brought into the shadow one very simply thanks to the skill above.

Shadow Abigail remains the best choice for me, at any stage of the game, but this does not mean that lunar is inferior to her, on the contrary, it seems to me that they are on the same level now.

Considering that gestalt Abby is a lot more accessible now, I honestly don't think that it should be on the same level of damage as Shadow Abby with cursed vex, even to solo targets. Since now her survivability is being patched out and she's actually good at surviving. And she's pretty accessible. Shadow Abby should be the definite damage option, solo or not.

Gestalt Abby having that single target dps is probably due to the fact that while her damage was lowered, the elixir still gives her 100 damage, 10 times the 10 it gives to normal lunar Abby, when her damage is no longer 10 times normal Abby's damage.

Shadow Abby is pretty accessible, just base near a bunch of bee hives. And you get prey as much as you want. Wouldn't mind it being more accessible but eh.

I do definitely take back my statements about them throwing shadow alignment in the garbage for lunar to be the clear choice. (Would have still choosed shadow though, it's cooler.)

Agree. Bring Lunar potion in line with Gesalt Abigail's damage modifiers, buff timers on shadow abigail and alignments are in a sweet spot IMO.

I don't think we need to keep continuously lowering the baseline. it is starting to get out of hand. maybe a slight buffer to shadow abigail is fine. The vex damage may have been lowered, but idk if you are taking into account what it does to thulecite club and celestial crown as well as people you are playing with.

That's fair, reverting shadow Abigail to her day cycle damage would also be a good option.

I need this for the interaction between it and nostrum.

But aside from that (as in if that isn't done), other suggestions include:

1) Increasing the damage cursed vex provides for Wendy. Like, only Wendy. Other creatures, shadow tentacles,  and weather pains all stay as 10. But Wendy gets additional damage. Similar to how vex works

2) When shadow Abby is active, cursed vex is more effective, similar to how now the lunar one provides a bigger increase to gestalt than it does to normal Abby.

3) A combination of those two. When shadow Abby is active, cursed vex is stronger for Wendy and Wendy alone.

Yeah, the shadow line did need to be toned back, but it was too much to do so in every aspect (Planar Defense, Cursed Vex, Shadow Abby).

I'd also like them to buff the duration, as it's a bit annoying to upkeep.

I'm getting the feeling it was done to nerf the viability of beefalo. it was the last topic in circulation, but i could be wrong

Cursed Vexation was nerfed for this yeah. The one nerfing her damage was before this, probably because they saw the cursed vexation damage and thought that nerfing her damage would be enough. But people still didn't like it. So cursed vexation was changed.

The defence one was needed. It's such a random thing.

I like the suggestion from the other thread for rabbits and other unstackable critters to give considerably more time compared to stackable ones. It would be cool synergy with warren wreath and fish farms, but traps for spiders and birds could be early game alternative with higher maintainance cost and worse drops. Right now long murdering animation makes Wendy net loose damage compared to using butterflies/bees because she doesn't attack herself during that time and she has to perform it so often in case unstackable creatures. Not to mention inventory space needed to hold all those critters is disadvantage.
