The change to "cursed vexation" is very wise, but the damage given are too conservative.

Recommended Posts

Affected by the planar entity resist, the benefit of increasing physical damage multipliers will become increasingly lower, so it is indeed very necessary for Wendy to gain a planar damage boost after post-rift phase

I found that under the same conditions, after Wendy uses "cursed vexation" on Abigail, the numerical value of each of Wendy's attacks is exactly 1.14 times that of Wilson's, whereas in the pre-rift phase, Wendy's damage with normal weapons is 1.15 times that of Wilson's. Are you deliberately limiting Wendy's damage?

However, in my opinion, the damage given in this change are too conservative. Most characters only need to focus on dodging enemy attacks in battle, while Wendy also needs to pay attention to Abigail's condition on top of that, which results in Wendy having less effective attack time in battle than most characters, and her DPS is not as high as imagined.

I propose increasing the planar damage boost provided by "cursed vexation" to around 25, to compensate for the attack opportunities Wendy loses due to protecting Abigail.

from my understanding its pretty solid with the crown of enlightenment and thulecite club as well

Thulecite club gets you wolfgang with dark sword damage (counting abby for these).

Enlightenment + thulecite club gets you about Wolfgang with Shadow Reaper damage, maybe a tiny bit less off top of head.

And people are already finding great use cases for the multihit. Brightshade staff was the last one I saw.

This is also ignoring that it's great in multiplayer. Have your friends use thulecite clubs, too, to take advantage of it. Or have friends use weather panes for an expensive nuke! This also gives distilled vengeance a fun use.

I like the current value personally, I find the multi hit synergy really interesting. It is a 21 DPS increase per character and much better when using things like Thucelite club, it  will be especially fun to use it when I play with one of my friends that plays Wes, he likes to use the Thucelite Club because of Wes's lower weapon durability consumption per hit, so he will enjoy this synergy. I also find the weather pain bazooka synergy funny.

Just make Wendy's 25 and everything that's not Wendy the flat 10.

I kind of think it should benefit wendy more than other creatures.  so having her do slightly more Should be warranted.

Yea. What really irks me about the current one is that, it doesn't have a special interaction with Wendy. When Wendy having a special interaction wirh Abby, is the whole point of vex.

I also think there should be more, considering that this is still a team-based improvement. The team boost could be 10/15, and Wendy herself could be at 20. Alternatively, everyone could be at 15, and Abigail could also benefit.

Just as long as we don't get into "A weather pain is a Wendy" territory, lol.

It's not affected by anything, including volt goat jelly, I'm pretty sure. So it probably doesn't check for a player tag. (Even hurts Abby lol). So it won't affect it

it's so interesting and surprising.

so i dont count on klei buff it. Otherwise it might be removed:spidercowers:

Hey, I have to point out that Weather Pain is currently ridiculously too expensive for regular use or for boss fights.

And if that become problem, only add Vex to melee damage.

Weatherpain doesn't have any character stuff anyways. It even damages Abby. I highly doubt the game even differentiates between Weatherpain projectiles. So it probably won't get stronger. Gloomerang and other ranged weapons benefiting from it wouldn't be a problem.

I personally like how it is, since it has a lot more interesting interactions than the flat damage multiplier did, but I have no strong attachment to it.

New lore update, Wendy and Abigail were actually triplets

It scales with multihit, extra attackers, etc.

If they made it do 25 damage, you could kill Pearled Crab King with one Weather Pain, as an example.

I entered the game to test it out, and Wendy's DPS using Weather Pain is indeed impressive.

However, Weather Pain is generally considered a precious weapon that shouldn't be used frequently. In a normal save file, on average, 2-3 moose and their calves will spawn each year. Killing all the moose will probably allow you to craft 3-5 Weather Pains, just enough to defeat one Crab King and one Crystal Deerclops.

Using green gems to obtain down feathers? That's a shameful waste of resources. If you do this in a multiplayer game, you'll likely be voted out. Even in a single-player game, I would prefer to use green gems to acquire more valuable resources, such as shroomskin and beeswax.
