nimzowitsch10
I understand they're doing the updates that take 3-4 months and jam packing everything but what about mini sized updates that could impact the game? Example: Adding a couple new items, adding one new mob, adding a boss, adding one skilltree. This concept of packing all the content in one go, along with making everyone wait longer, then going crazy in the beta to try and appease hundreds of complaint/bugs/criticism doesn't seem so great and that really showed in this latest beta. loopuleasa
Game and playerbase is too big to do casual small updates, the community is very picky and very invested Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163674-could-there-be-updates-that-are-mini-sized/#findComment-1793014 Share on other sites
MatthewLovesYou
These already exist. The most recent one is an example of a small update that's rather inoffensive. Problem is that these types of updates generate less hype and the small additions can have large consequences along the way. Splitting the workload between bugfixing and balancing the small update and the big one makes both take longer. I assume there are engagement analysysts at klei that were considering this option but ultimately decided against it Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163674-could-there-be-updates-that-are-mini-sized/#findComment-1793204 Share on other sites
