Was the Sisturn III argument raised intentionally?

Recommended Posts

There were many discussions about the Sisturn III happened before and even many of us has reached some particular compromise point about it.

But they were all ignored simply by patching out an overturned version.

It seems more like a strategy to raise a specific heating discussion about a specific imbalance point. And 3 benefits followed.

1. People would blame that Wendy's discussion draws many attentions, and started attending to say "no" to every feedback of Wendy.

2. People would be bored with similar discussion which happened too many times before, then they simply stop giving any feedback, then arguments of broken things become lesser, then problem (seems) become solved.

3. People would have to ignore other problems of Wendy's tree (or other characters' tree if they main Wendy but still play as others) since their attention has been completed draws by Sisturn III, then other problems (seems) become solved.

I'm tired. No idea why the illogical dogma like "you could go back your home to remove your lune blossoms before you want to go kill a specific boss" could even be here for the argument.

I mean, you can go back to your base to remove your lune blossoms after a boss kill. The game lets you do that. You should know this.

I don't understand the other points sorry.

It's start to become another version of "you have to be limited to waiting around the sisturn", but this time it's for Wendy but not Abi lol.

I mean if I want to do a bosses rush with two different bosses, one get benefit from Sisturn III but other get punishment, then I have to kill one of them and go back my Sisturn before I rush another?

Is there any difference between current one and the original 600 shield one if I have to go back my Sisturn after every fights beside the waiting time changed from 6 mins to 1 second?

So it's for faster speedrunning? I'm sure you can come up with a strategy for this for your speedruns.

I think most people usually go back to base to drop off boss loot, anyway?

In endgame, I think most people would simply leave the loots at a chest at where the boss respawn rather than carry them back to home.

And to think such inconvenience as a reasonable design is more like intentional but not genuinely.

In endgame, I think you should be able to afford to build more than one Sisturn.

So you means that you could cancel the lune blossoms decoration of area of Dragon fly when you in the area of Bee Queen?

The argument seems going to be completely time wasting since it seems we have some one was dishonest.

It's not an argument. Think about it more.

Don't Starve is a game about using creativity to solve challenges.

Try using your creativity, to solve this challenge you're imposing on yourself.

Try to using your logic to solve if it's reasonable - a skill brings only punishment to particular scenarios which need you to use "creativity" to preventing it.

I did solve it already.

Let me know when you figure it out, too!

Placing Sisturns by every boss with a different player and mob damage and then bringing Lune Blossoms to the fight is certainly… an option for long-term worlds, but it doesn’t seem the most fun or intuitive. At least you could create some nice builds on megabase worlds?

Keeping a Sisturn pre-crafted is always an option too. You could probably even find a way to utilize that for speedruns.

I still think it would be better if Abby’s “player tag” was consistent for all bosses.

How is this illogical? You go back to base to restock your food, your weapons, your armor. This is just one extra small step in that. It does not seem like that big of a deal!

No. Food weapons and armors could be prepared in your inventory. The on-off of decorations can't.

I know what you mentioned.

Food and weapons could be prepared in inventory, and you would say that the metarials of the Sisturn recipe could as well.

Too silly to bring stones in inventory as daily life.

Do you know what meaning of Quality of Life?

So you build chests near bosses, but can’t build a Sisturn near a boss and take out the Lune Blossoms afterwards?

what is the issue here, besides trying to complain over nothing?

???????????????????? Huuh? We are playing very different games or at the very least have very very different playstyles.

I agree.

Try to cancel ALL QoL updates first before you argue with me in this topic.

Do you go from boss to boss immediately?? I mean, most people at least return to their base.

Personally my problem with it is that there's no way to tell. Either add a way scrapbook please be better

Or just make it 50% for all bosses. Since we're talking about Wendy, I think the latter is probably the way to go. But if the first option was possible then that 10000%

You said long term worlds though.

Long term worlds where you killed so many bosses you needed a chest to hold their drops.

And building a Sisturn near the boss is a problem?

lol come on.

Even in short term world I still need not back to home for continuous boss fighting. Seems you're enjoying some arguments like this. Fine.

I don't mean to argue, I'm trying to help you out.

You can seriously just put lune blossoms in a Sisturn when you want the buff.

Then, when you don't want the buff, you can take the lune blossoms out of a Sisturn to cancel the buff.

You can also build multiple Sisturns.

What's the problem?

Just now, Steorra said:

Anti QoL design should not be patch out more when you agree with other QoL changes. Or it's only add more problems for future QoL changes.

I don't understand why this is a big enough deal to change the skill in that way, sorry.

I love fighting bosses, and I usually play with friends. I’ve been pushing them to go from boss to boss more often, especially since we have a Wigfrid with a Charged Elding Spear for the first time. Spring isn’t long enough to do everything I want. It’ll be kind of embarrassing if I’m the one who has to go back to base when I’m always insisting that it’ll save time if we just do one more c’mon guys—

(If it sounds like I’m some kind of despot, I have offered to let my friends decide what we do. They stood there and watched the marble trees grow for twenty minutes?? We agreed I can decide.)

I have a truly embarrassing amount of DST info memorized so which bosses do different player vs. mob damage will probably just be added to that, but I agree that there needs to be something in game to indicate that it doesn’t work for all bosses. Or just take the easy route and make it work for all bosses. I think even if the info is there, it will be difficult for players to understand. Simpler is better!

It turns out in another thread that it works for all bosses but Toadstool, Shadow Pieces, and Possessed Varg. Way more than thought before.
