    • Yes, they are both "mazes" and both have stone tablets and gates that record history.

    • No, the atrium is the endpoint of the Shadow line, while the Archive is the mid to early stages of the lunar line (or for other reasons).

In the game, Shadow and Lunar are two opposing lines, but there are some differences in their content. In ancient times, altars had various staffs, talismans, weapons, armor, and other items, while the Lunar Altar had fewer items.

I think it serves as evidence that the Ancients' only source of moon rock was from the meteors (because remember, the Lunar islands fall into the Constant AFTER A New Reign). The only lunar-based craft that needed both moon rock and thulecite were the Astral Detector.
