This means that gestalt abby will actually attack things much further than normal abby would because her aggression range is buffed up to 15 units vs the 5 of default However there is a range in which if wendy is not close enough to a target gabby will just completely miss the target despite it clearly hitting Plus gestalt does not follow the standard brain of abigail in the essence of what she will attack on her own. Gestalt abby actually only listens for combat and doesn't attack when near creatures that she would normally attack without instigation Like monsters and prey creatures for instance. however riled up she still attacks most things No wonder why I always thought her ai was kind of strange. she will only attack things that wendy commands her to or are in combat with Wendy or Abigail. And her new 15 unit focus range changes alot of things. since she still follows the 5 unit defensive max range This is pretty bad because then this means gabby would constantly get herself out of position and is only really mitigated if wendy is attacking. Really good info. This must be an oversight. There were seemingly a lot of rapid changes to gestalt in a short time, but no players to actually really test the changes. I don't imagine the devs will see this though soon haha. I think it would nerf Gestaby. Gestaby's attention would be distracted by the shadow creatures, and Wendy would not get the sanity heal from killing them, which would result in longer boss fights. Secondly, its functionality overlaps with Willow's BERNIE. It would be better if it didn't have power creep. If you still want Gestaby to attack shadow creatures, I suggest that Gestaby not drop Nightmare fuel when she kills them (like Greater Geshtalt does) and that Wendy would get some sanity boost when Gestaby kills shadow creatures. This is fair enough for me. And for flavour factor I would prefer to see no fuel drops from Gestalt Abi killings. And yes it's more like a nerf to Gestalt Abi. And this is strange for me since I have no idea why Koomin ignored these voices but attempted to argue with me. Also, in the end of my linked post, I figured out that Abigail can most likely just solo the Ink Blight trio, incredibly easily. I take screenshots, as I don't have enough time to sit down and edit video. I'll be tracking how many rollbacks I do, and how many Graven Elixirs I use! THE BUILD I wanted to try the Lunar bosses with no Sisturn. So the obvious thing is to max out both the Potions and Pipspooks line. Then Graves 1 just to super maximize Mourning Glory. I got Team Spirit III because I wanted to finally try out Scare and Haunt. I got Shadow Sister because that's what I've been getting so far. I got the butterfly ressurect as a joke. But I ended up actually liking it and using it. PLAYTHROUGH PART ONE I find Mosaic after grabbing resources. I find the graves at night, so on Day 2 I have my first 20 mourning glory. I'm used to the Pipspook quest now with Pipspook 3, so getting 20 mourning glories takes me about 2 minutes at this point. Day 3, I have my picnic casket and Alchemy Engine up in Pig King biome. It was past Mosaic and a Savannah. The world's design is kind of weird, biomes are really far apart, not a great sign for world generation. Day 6, base made! I put it in the Savannah for easy access to poop, so I can replant grass tufts for Brightshades. Also because it makes Pipspook quests really easy, if you're not in or near a forest. In hindsight, I should have skipped grass and just went for saplings, which don't require fertilization. Or neither, because brightshades infest farms, and I'm growing crops for Forget Me Nots, anyway. Day 7, I get 20 saplings dug up in a forest, and find 3 living logs. I return to base to plant the saplings, then head off underground, as the cave rifts should have opened by now. The lunar rift is open by day 6, but deadly brightshades don't come until the third phase of the rift. I also catch 10 bees and some butterflies to take down. Looking for the ruins in caves, and I find a bunch of things. I find the Atrium tentapillar, nearly instantly. This would have been really useful if I was going for Fuelweaver. The ickers keep falling, and they are insanely irritating. I have no planar weapon to deal with them. I find the fused shadelings in the rifts. I murder 5 bees to buff Abby. Then I am super disappointed to find Abigail can't attack them! That's really bad! .... And then I immediately run into the new masked guys. It's a bunnyman and some spiders. Abigail nukes them, of course, and they drop Pure Horror. So I have some to make vex potions. I still wasted those 5 bees, though. Toadstool found, too. Ink Blight Trio Fight 1 I run into Ink Blight Trio in the lichen biome. I buff Abigail with my last 5 bees, and then I don't actually attack them. She solos them. I use a Revenant Restorative, but it didn't seem necessary. She is bizarrely strong against them. I'm not sure why she takes so little damage. I mess up and get too close during this, and the big one attacks me, once. This gets me down to 20 health. Haha. To be continued. Wouldn't it be better to take the crown instead of Abigail's last skill? haunting with it doesn't make much sense. I think it's a tough call. Haunt/Scare is pretty useful, just situational. The crown is really good in multiplayer, but I think it's far less useful solo (unless you have problems with the ruins). The pinnacle of the crown is the night vision, it's the most useful part of it. Solo, you can just make moleworm goggles if you're comfortable getting the glowberries. Multi, you can make night vision for yourself and everyone on the server, and they don't have to worry about farming glowberries. Still, even solo, I think it's a tough call between the crown and Haunt/scare. You can keep tallbirds scared forever, so you can run away or kill them. Clockworks. Bunnymen. Anything Abby can't kill super fast on her own. You can also scare spiders to get spider glands 100% of the time. Haunt has a lot of fun but super situational uses. Some off top of head, its impossible to remember them all: Change mushroom colors growing in ground. Got a red mushroom circle in your world? Change the color of a stack of picked mushrooms. Quote It was likely that Gestalt Abigail was very strong as she was checking a lot of boxes, high damage, low cost, great survivability, etc, but it was how she was drafted originally and had not yet been experience that way as some of her brain behaviors were crossed, so she was not changed for the last patch. Indeed, she was too strong.
