HeatAndRun Posted January 10, 2025 Share Posted January 10, 2025 Finally the forum is much more calm and silent now, so I think it's a good time to post my personal QoL improvements for each characters in this beta. Ideas are from myself or somewhere else in the forum. Wortox Special effect for Wortox's soul decoy to make its visual different with the real player. Similar to Wagstaff's transmission effect. Currently it feels like the decoy is spawned by "c_spawn("Wortox")", out of nowhere. Wagstaff's flickering effect, or Shadow duelist mimicking Maxwell's skins are great examples to me. Add visual effect to other players in perspective of Wortox, to let them guess other players' health. For example, some red cloud floats around the players with HP lower than their max health. (Except Wanda) Let healing other players become an enjoyable little quests for Wortox players without worrying about wasting souls on full HP teammates! Moonlens QoL for all characters : Moonlens should reveal the holder on the map, like the celestial orb does. This change will let other players know when to squeeze Wortox's twintailed hearts by viewing the map, when the Wortox player holds Moonlens in their inventory. Alternatively, for example equipping "brillance compass" can reveal other players' location when they're holding moonlens. Make Global Positions mod official by this way without hurting game balance! Area indicator for Wortox's AoE attacks - Shadow Reaper AoE & Soul Decoy AoE. Like how Walter's magic pellets show the exact AoE radius with thulecite slingshot frame. Walter Big Woby should not trigger spider nests. They're everywhere, while Walter cannot park your big Woby somewhere or manually shrink big Woby into the little form. Woby can feed on Woodie's idols. It ain't much, but it would definitely be better than not doing so. Will be a delightful little synerge with Woodie for Walter himself. AoE effect of Thulecite Frame is very useful and impressive, but there's minor inconvenience when you're trying to swap ammo inside the second slot of the slingshot for using various AoE ammo types. There're two possible solutions to solve this problem : AoE effect of Thulecite Slingshot Frame can trigger on normal attacks. The trigger chance of AoE from normal attacks can varies : from 100% to 25%. Work well with increased attack speed of slingshots. Right clicking the pellets while pressing "Alt" can exchange ammo inside the skill slot instead of regular slot. Lunar aligned rounds could use some improvements - The effect of Pure Brillance Round last too short considering the debuff's overall strength. It should be longer! About the Brightshade Husk Rounds, I think the Brightshade Vine summoned from this round can entangle enemies for brief seconds by low chance instead of just hitting them. This way the round can become a proper counterpart and competitor of Icker rounds of Shadow affinity. Also it's more unique than all the DPS comparison thingies. But it's just my personal taste, though. Wendy Mourning Glory should go into Picnic Basket - It could practically help inventory management when mass farming Mourning Glory. Especially because some of Wendy's new crafting recipes require constant supplies of Mourning Glory. Player ghost from Vengeful Ghost skill can apply Vex to enemies. This way the skill can have value more than just a joke skill. Unyielding Draught and Distilled Vengeance can apply 25% innate defence to Wendy when drinking, instead of current uninspiring effect. Pretty much like Wigfrid's defence. Unlike Wigfrid Wendy still needs to assign head slot for Wraith's Wreath and spend elixer constantly. Wendy can revive Moon Moth. It will make harvesting and reproducing Lune tree much more convenient. Sisturn can affect both Surface and Caves wherever it exists. Like how King of the Merms does the same thing. Garland skin can also be applied to Wraith's Wreath. Make this skill tree update a glorious day for abandoned Garland skins. Changing Gestalt Abigail into normal form should be available even when it's not new moon. New moon is much harder to trigger than full moon. Moreover, Wendy can do the same thing by using celestial idol anytime. The new moon requirements seem to be an unnecessary inconvenience. Pressing Alt + Right Click can immediately let Wendy drink Ghostly Elixers when wearing Wraith's Wreath, like how Maxwell can open Magician's Top Hat by doing so! The timer of consumed Ghostly Elixers should not be gone immediately when unequpping Wraith's Wreath. The player should unequip and equip the Wreath as much as they want. It is terribly inconvenient to use the elixer every time I wear it off. Imagine if you need to apply Ghostly Elixers every time you unsummon and summon Abigail! I wouldn't mind this, but I feel it would be nicer if it was a more special effect. Not just armor. Perhaps Wortox could get some QoL stuff in a similar direction?
