[Help] Can't activate mods on dedicated server

Recommended Posts

# Prior to the story, I am not good at English so I am getting help from a translator. Please understand even if the sentence or word is weird.

I recently succeeded in running a dedicated server on AWS.
But I tried it again and again according to the guide, It was impossible to put a mods on the server.

The server is organized as shown in the picture below.

I will attach the configuration file and the server executable file that I am using.

I've been wrapping my head around for the last week because of this, please someone help..

run_dedicated_servers.sh dedicated_server_mods_setup.lua modsettings.lua modoverrides.lua

From your screenshot it looks like you've placed something inside that mods directory in your cluster_1 folder.

The Server doesn't know that directory. Try moving your configuration files, or the entire content of the cluster_1/mods directory to dontstarvetogether_dedicated_server/mods.

While you are at it, make sure that the dedicated_server_mods_setup.lua is inside dontstarvetogether_dedicated_server/mods/ and modoverrides.lua is inside both "Cluster_1/Master/" and "Cluster_1/Caves/" folders.

Furthermore it looks like you've added one too many comma in your modoverrides.lua file. The last entry doesn't need a comma, since it's a list and commas only have to be placed between entries.

Lastly the modsettings.lua is unnessesary, since it's only there for force-enabling mods for debugging.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out on Unraid using ich777's container. There are now like 5 different places I see mod folders, and some have the old name and some the new, and I am just so turned around. Some work, some don't, can't identify the difference. Yeah I really wish this thread could be re-written with a clean slate.
