Seeing that the Skilltrees beta is still in development gives me hope that they are really taking into account the idea of the forums, I'm the guy who gave a few ideas a month ago to make Walter's fight more fun ( this is the post in case you want to see it hehe) and as Main Walter I have even more ideas to share and of course, with drawings! I have seen that many people did not like the branch of The Skill Tree which is dedicated to woby and personally, I think it is a good concept of training and badges, but it is very poorly implemented... So here are my ideas to make the idea of "Train Woby" feel like a cool and rewarded experience! 1.WOBY WHISTLE: By unlocking the skill point at Woby Station, you will not only unlock the crafting of his station, but also of his whistle! What would be done with 1 log and 1 rope and this will be used for Woby to do different actions as she trains, also, this whistle has durability, to compensate for its cheap price Each Woby Badge upon reaching a high level of Training Percentage unlocks a new action or skill that can be executed with the Woby Whistle! (and this skill will also only be available if you have the Level 2 Badge) -FETCHING BADGE ABILITY: When Woby reaches 60% or more training you can use the whistle to command Woby to collect or harvest different plants or objects, in turn these items will be stored in her backpack, like a W.O.B.O.T but controlled by you and with the ability to harvest grass, sticks, berry bushes, etc... I think this makes Walter a very good character to collect resources -DIGGING BADGE ABILITY: Upon reaching 30% progress in Digging Badge you will now have the option in the whistle to command Woby to sniff the ground, this will start a quest, where you will have to follow Woby as she sniffs to get even more valuable items with a much higher probability. This quest would mechanically be like hunting a koelefant or searching for Morning Glorys has Wendy but with the difference of following Woby until she finds something. she still has the probability of not finding anything, but this action has a cooldown greater than 5 days -AGILITY BADGE ABILITY: When you reach an 80% Agility Badge you will have the option in the Woby whistle you can cross with a jump rivers or cliffs of the caves without the need for bridges! Of course, while you're riding Woby, when you do this Woby loses a little bit of hunger, so it will transform faster into its small version. I think this ability would motivate the player to ride woby instead of a beefalo, as she could skip a lot of path, something the beefalo can't do, or at least in caves -INTERFACE OF THE WHISTLE: simple! All these skills would be saved in an interface when you click the whistle, there are already several objects that do that, such as Maxwell's book, Winona's remote control and recently Abigail's flower! Walrusst Posted January 6, 2025 Share Posted January 6, 2025 I would love crossovers like having small agility woby be able to use his active whistle skills in the water (Get the kelp dog,) support woby giving sanity on pet with a cooldown, fetch big woby being able to open boxes for you while you for more seamless inventory management compared to when you ride a beefalo, and big woby being able to shovel things up with the dig badge. That way woby has way more depth then you minmax exclusively big woby or small woby. You can have badge set ups that give wildly different experiences with woby as a mount, or woby as a pet. This makes the skill tree less one dimensional for one, and to go even further: A smart walter could exploit the perks of both forms, rather then just being able to use only one or the other well due to the point limit making more then a small investment in him pointless.
