if we can wax snowman, can we wax mannequin too?

Recommended Posts

one of problem that only been fixed with mod is decorating mannequin with item that can spoil like fashion melon, garland etc will eventually rot
since we have snowman wax-able with embalming spritz can we do the same thing with this problem?

Maybe make the perishable wearables be spritzed instead?

Obviously that would disable their effects for players.

i never wear that stuff anyway but as a basebuilder i really do like decorating with some of it

I personally think unless new quotes are added it would be far far too confusing to players.

why can I equip this but can’t touch that? Etc…

The game is a NIGHTMARE for newer players to figure out… what is “Decoration” and what’s actually useable?

But other then that, sure why not?

Embalming Spritz is post-rift content, arguably the one that's more difficult to activate and has harder threats (shadow rifts), and adds the adjective "Scared-Stiff" to the start of the name of whatever's been waxed. I don't think new players will often be coming into contact with this sort of content, but if they do they'll see that x or y object that isn't interactable says that it's "Scared-Stiff."

That being said, waxing snowmen doesn't actually stop perishable hats you place on them from spoiling. It's unfortunate and I'm gonna go report it now.

"Shadow Mannequin whose equipped items do not rot" after Shadow Rift.

We already have bundling wraps, so shouldn't it be OK?

you cant see the item if it is inside of the bundling wrap. the point of this is to be able to look at the pretty art klei made ^^

What I meant is, "Since we already have bundling wrap what preserve items indefinitely, wouldn't it be OK there is a mannequin whose  equipped items do not rot?" you silly ^^

Yeah I get that it’s “late game content” but what’s stopping a total noob from joining a world that has progressed that far? Aside from a password lock anyone can join at anytime.

I don’t think “Scared Stiff” conveys the message to a newer player that “This Mannequin is purely for decorative purposes and can not be interacted with”

People who know what mannequins are also know that they are decorative and are supposed to display clothes in most cases.
I don't think the sprayed mannequins shouldn't interactable as that would limit basebuilding, perhaps somehow locking them might be fine?

Nothing, but joining a server for a sandbox game as a new player that's clearly far far into the game is asking for confusion. If I were to join someone's Minecraft world as a new player who's never managed to even take down a zombie yet, I would certainly be confused by their base full of tamed animals and mob farms and automatic redstone doors and potion brewers and all the players zipping around on an elytra. In both cases, I would just ask aloud "hey what does x thing do?" and probably get an explanation, or maybe an offer to play a new world with them rather than trying to figure out what all these things are that I don't understand.

it's a bit silly, but I really wish there was a upgrade to the Garland that utilize the same/similar sprite that shared the skin compatibility. So many absolutely fantastic garland skins that I never get to use unless I use a multi item skin mod (A mod that lets you make any items of a similar type use the same skins). If I have to get shadow rifts for embalming spritz to make my garland not spoil, so be it!

i get the most use out of garlands in pubs but it would be nice to gave a tier-2 garland of some sort or another to extend out the value of the skins
