Changes and improvements to the Walter skill tree

Walter players who are constantly walking gain a movement speed buff after foraging, so their inventory is always full of grass and branches.

Ghost stories.

After a ghost story, the SAN reduction due to damage and other players' SAN reduction auras are reduced for 4 minutes. The story must be told to the end for it to be effective.

This is also added to the ability to talk at night to gain sanity recovery. Simply increasing the amount of sanity restoration is not interesting, so Walter who tells the ghost story to the end and the players who listen are reduced from the SAN reduction effect for four minutes. More than the effect, I personally would like Walter players to always tell ghost stories at night, but unfortunately it's just too noisy now.

Woodcraft.

Can create a portable camping kit that doubles as a fire pit and cooking pot.

From here, the skill becomes more of a Boy Scout aspect. The camping skill has been refined, allowing you to create a portable camping kit that combines the two abilities of a fire pit and a cooking pot. The thought of being able to have a fire and cook every day would help a lot. To tell the truth, I just want to see Walter setting up a portable camping kit and portable tent in a non-base location and telling ghost stories.It competes with a chef with a portable cooking pot, but I imagine there will probably be a mini-game skill in the next skill tree that allows you to complete a dish in an instant.

First Aid.

The effectiveness of recovery items is increased by 30% and portable tents can be used in daylight.

Currently the only measure when damaged is to sleep in a portable tent. As a saving measure for recovery items, the effectiveness of recovery items will be increased by 30%, so that using Spider Gland to heal will balance out to 10 healings.Also, by allowing the portable tent to sleep during the day, you can always take refuge in the tent if you lose your sanity.

Backpack customisation

This content focuses on the backpack carried by Woby. Customisation is achieved by placing the created item on Woby's inventory slot, which changes its form like Chester's. Only one custom can be attached, and if a custom is attached again, the already attached item will fall to the ground.

Attach the drying rack feature.

This function is progressed by simply placing raw meat in the inventory. It is very innovative to be able to complete the drying process while moving around if the meat starts to rot.

It can be done while riding. The picking up movement is equivalent to when walking.

This allows you to work on felling and mining while riding, and the picking up movement is smooth. Many Walter players would like to be able to ride and collect items at all times.

Attach armour that can withstand attacks better.

This feature can be combined with the Woby training skill to make it more resistant to damage; it also reduces damage to the Walter itself, making it ideal for practising if you are new to riding the Woby.

Install a fridge function.

This is simply a useful skill, but a bit too solid to leave a comment here as one of the ideas.

Difficult changes.

Each charge shot of the Scrappy Slingshot Frame adds a stack that increases the power of the normal attack, dealing five times the damage when fired with a maximum of five stacks.

I like the current style of firing in rapid succession, but I think it would be interesting to change to a frame that specialises in single shot damage that keeps doing charge shots, so here's a suggestion.

Brightshade Husk Rounds stack as they hit, and melee attacks consume stacks and summon tentacles.

The bullets are in conflict with Cursed Rounds in some areas, and we thought it would be a good idea to make these changes for the reason of making melee attacks more meaningful.

Strengthen Pinetree Pioneer Hat to add defence

This is a proposal to enhance the Pioneer Hat into a Pioneer Helm. Adding this alone would make damage less of an unforgivable mistake and should make quite a few players want to touch the Walter. This is because at present, it is stronger to equip a football helmet than a pioneer hat.However, we don't know where to put this skill, so we put it in the ‘difficult changes’ section.

 

Walter is my favourite character and I like his stoic playstyle, where no more damage is allowed than anyone else.I think Walter's disadvantages are added because of his useful Woby, his sanity not being affected by monsters, and his abundant sanity recovery methods, and I don't think his disadvantages are added because of his slingshot. I believe that using the slingshot in combat is a last resort. So I have some doubts about the current use of the slingshot. but I thought about how to accept this and still add a Walter-ness to it.

Create a bandage that heals 15 times with silk and Spider Gland.

Compared to other characters, Walter has more reasons to fight Spider, so it would be useful to make one from materials that tend to be left over. Comment here as another recovery skill.
