Mike23Ua Posted December 5, 2024 Share Posted December 5, 2024 They probably want to get the update out to coincide with the WintersFeast update, and then any lingering bugs.. will remain in the game until Klei returns from their holiday breaks to spend with their friends and family in late January or Early February. I will never forget the Xbox exclusive “Tragic Torch” bug, anytime anyone attempted to equip and use it it froze up the game and then powered down your Xbox console. LMAO and this was a bug for a SKIN to the torch, which unfortunately couldn’t get fixed until after the holidays. My point is that even though Betas do exist, and they’re general purpose is to find and fix as many bugs as they can, and to receive feedback on what’s in the beta, And also sometimes experiment around with Ideas & concepts- Sometimes game breaking bugs DO still slip through the cracks. and with that said, I’ll also never forget how player froze and was booted to the Xbox Home Screen when they stepped foot into the oasis biome. Sometimes it’s actually BETTER to release the updates even if all the bugs have not been fixed, because they will get far more people finding & reporting the problems they discover, then they ever will with a beta not as many people can play. But… Klei can literally take until the day before JoeW announces the 2025 Roadmap to launch the update, and it will still be on schedule. So let them work, great things take patience & time. True, but they do also need to work on the year of event so I imagine 19th is as late as theyre willing to push it. I imagine we'll get the promised changes for Wemdy and Walter (headstone, team spirit &mourning glory buffs, woby skills revamp), then a little more improvements at launch. Then,if people still have issues we'll get more changes early next year. So it wouldn't be so fast right? Typically the betas last around 3 weeks (which would mean December 12th-ish), regardless of whether they're seen as complete when the update goes live. Often there are changes made in the official updates that are not seen at all during the beta, and sometimes there are several balance changes in the following days. Will all the bugs be fixed by the time the update launches? Almost certainly not. There are still bugs from almost a year ago in the Wigfrid/Willow update that I've reported, re-reported, and had no response on. That doesn't mean that they'll never be fixed though.
