Steorra Posted December 2, 2024 Share Posted December 2, 2024 Since supporting roles often have a high chance of being overlooked in most MMO games, especially in DST, where other characters could easily take care of themselves, I recommend enhance Wortox's supporting skills. At the current stage, the most appealing aspect of the "Nice" side of Wortox's skill tree is the ability to remove the monster tag from Wortox. I understand that some may view this as OP as it eliminates a significant drawback of Wortox. However tbh this de-monster ability is merely a QoL improvement and should not serve as a balancing factor for endgame characters. For now, ppl may need to select some "Nice" side skills for endgame de-monster QoL, their primary focus is on de-monstering rather than supporting, which would be strange. I believe that both the Lifebringer Line and the Lifted Spirits Line are appealing and well-designed. Lifted Spirits Line aims to enhance QoL and significantly impacts Wortox's basic mechanism which is hard to ignore. Lifebringer Line focuses on support, providing sufficient efficiency for their intended purpose. Notably, Lifebringer III introduces a creative QoL change for Wortox's teammates. While some ppl may not prefering play support roles, they cannot ignore the positive QoL changes that benefit their friends. As comparison, the efficiency of Reaching Souls & Soul Bastion Lines may be debatable. I'm unable to test their effects myself due to server issues. However, based on the current "huijiwiki" for DST, the Soul Bastion I appears to provide only a 25% increase in healing from the second wave. This is not sufficiently appealing. I believe it should be increased to 50% to encourage more Wortox players to take on a supporting role for their teammates. Additionally, regarding the Reaching Souls Line, I believe they are ignorable if they no longer possess advanced skills. I think introducing a new mechanism here would be more beneficial. I personally disagree with the proposal to merge Reaching Souls I & II into a single skill, as this may allow players enable acquire more offensive skills while accessing the de-monster ability. However, we could merge their effects into one of them and simultaneously introduce a new feature for the other. Perhaps increasing the basic healing amount of each soul as part of the new Reaching Souls II would be a good idea? As for the last point, the Lunar Swindler seems somewhat boring and OP to me. I would like to ask why the Enlightened Crown couldn't be a part of the Lunar Line. Additionally the original effect of this skill is an enhanced version of Bone Armor, which has already caused many debate regarding balance issues (though I'm fine with Bone Armor). Considering that most skills on the "Nice" side are focused on support and the QoL improvements, how about changing the effect of Lunar Swindler to "Create an enlightened light source for other players by souls healing while wearing the Enlightened Crown, transforming the sanity state of those affected by the healing into the enlighten state for 5 seconds". Also the last idea, what if we allowed Soul Jar to store Enlightened Shards, granting the Knabsacker a light source? A weapon provides light would be a valuable and creative QoL item for daily use. I haven't tested the new numbers yet, as Nice is really bad solo: You have to get useless skills for solo, like Lifegiver, if you want to keep Nice but still get Soul Damage. I don't think I'd ever get Lunar Swindler with those changes. I like the current form, though I do like your idea of it also working with the crown. Any nerfs to it and I'd just use the shadow scythe perk instead. Also haven't seen much debate on it, vs the other 2 characters. It's funny, some people see Nice bonus as worthless and some see it as OP. Same with Naughty. I take this as a sign that both are interesting to people, and balanced in that there's no clear winner. For example, I'd like the ability to use the "heart thing" myself even without tier 3 talent. Revive and teleporting friends isnt priority for me. But i'd definitely take increased reach from "evil" tree fro myself if I had spare points. I do however find it funny that Shadow perk goes well with Nice tree due to additional free aoe.
