Quality Of Life Changes Ideas

  1. Loot Stash shouldn't spawn near player placed structures (similar to Rifts)
  2. Deconstructed Bone Helm, Bone Armor and Shadow Thurible should drop fossils instead of bone shards
  3. Umbrella skins should also be Umbralla skins
  4. Acid Rains should be shorter, but more dangerous and should make stuff wet
  5. Brightshade Shoevel shouls also include the oar in it and being renamed to Brightshade Shoarvel. The power of the oar in it would be something between the Driftwood Oar and the Malbatross' Bill
  6. Less Brightshade Waves in the Rift Cycle or smaller waves. I personally think that the spawn rate of the Brightshades is too big and it's really easy to have a chest full of Brightshade Husks
  7. The damage of Willow's Shadow Flame should be higher to make both flames equally strong
  8. The duration of Burning Frenzy skill should be increased from 1 minute to 3 and the ember cost should be increased to 3 or 4
  9. Willow's smaller fires shouldn't hurt other players to make Burning Frenzy more useful on the multiplayer
  10. Destroying the Marotter Den would drop the item that is used to place it (similar to Spider Dens)
  11.  Enthralled Mobs should spawn much less frequently, I think that they spawn too much and they should in specific places instead of having 20% to replace Ickers
  12. Petrified variant of natural turfs, world regrowth wouldn't affect those turfs
  13. Small Pawn, Kingly and Queenly figures should be added to the game, they would randomly drop from tumbleweeds like Rook, Knight and Bishop and trading them with Pig King would give the player the figure sketch of the respective figure, just like those that are already existing in the game
  14. The Polar Light and Eye Crystaleyezer shouldn't decrease the player temperature under 0 degrees (unless the ambient temperature is under 0 degrees or close to 0 degrees)
  15. Smalled Dreadstone Pillar cost, 20 dreadstones instead of 40
  16. Small Rafts that would fit in small spaces should be added, only 1 player could be on it and they'd be really slow (they'd be really useful while planting Above-Average Tree Trunk)
  17. Old update graphics should be added to the game as vignettes (for example the one below the post)
  18. Skins added in the last update should be added to collections eg. Forsaken Lighter should be added to the Survivor Collection or Jagged Generator to Forge Collection
  19. An option to see the back of the Beefalo in the Curio Cabinet
  20. New profile icons with creatures that recently were added to Constant like Grazers, Fused Shadeling, Ornery Chest, Crystal Deerclops and more)
  21. Collection badges for other collections such as Shadow Collection, Rose Collection, Art Nouvaeu and more
  22. The boulders that fall during earthquakes after activating the Shadow Rifts should break after the fall and deal 50 damage
  23. W.A.R.B.I.S. Headpiece and Armor should be crafted from Spark Arks instead of Enlightened Shards, 
  24. Fantasmical Gate and Factory Gate should be made and added to go in pair with their respective fence skins
  25. Option in settings to mute pets
  26. Tables should work as a containers with one slot used to display an item
  27. Item idea: Horror Light, as long as the flame is burning, it'd scare away the Gestalts and Brightshade Gestalts. 1 Pure Horror would make it burn for 5 days and the range would be similar to the range of Ice Flingomatic. It'd also drain players sanity -20/minute
  28. Using the Hosting Flare in Autumn would summon the Bearger, using it during Spring when it's raining would spawn Moose/Goose, during Summer it'd enrage the Antlion. While used in caves, it'd cause a strong earthquake and would summon the Great Depths Worm

  30. Varg Figure Sketch should also drop from the Varg
  31. Due to the ceiling in the Ruins being reinforced by the pillars, earthquakes shouldn't occur there
  32. Dreadstone Outcrops should drop 6 dreadstones instead of 3
  33. Klaus' gifts during Winter's Feast should be reskined bundling wraps instead of gift wraps, reskined bundling wraps that would drop wax paper
  34. The player should be able to hang Hallowed Nights decoration on the Christmas Tree and vice versa, it'd be funny
  35. Mini Signs should appear in the Storage Solutions filter since they're commonly used in storage areas
  36. Grass Gekkos should drop grass tufts upon death
  37. More distinctive colors of the ocean bioms on the map
  38. Junky Fence should be added to Klei Rewards as a skin that player can obtain for Klei Points
  39. Junky Gate should be created and added as a skin that player could obtain for Klei Points
  40. Miner Hat, Lantern and Enlightened Crown should automatically turn off while entering the Tent/Siesta Lean-To
  41. Enlightened Crown skins should also work on Enlightened Shard
  42. Umbralla range doesn't display correctly on zoomed out screens
  43. Fire Pump should work similar to the Sprinkler from Hamlet but with smaller range
  44. The number shouldn't be displayed if there's only 1 item (eg. if there is only 1 silk in a slot, the number wouldn't be shown)
  45. Farm Plants should count the Polar Light as the light source
  46. Possessed Varg should have a fire resistance (currently it doesn't run away from it but still takes damage)
  47. There should be a number indicating the quantity of items that will made it the crafting (eg. turfs it the crafting should have x4 that would tell the players that they'll craft 4 turfs)
  48. Wrathful Rabbit King spawns too often
  49. Cheaper Brush crafting 1 boards instead of Walrus Tusk
  50. Loot Stash should have a couple of items such as Malbatross/Down Feathers instead of just 1 (eg. 3 - 10)
  51. Skins that are for multiple items such as Straw Hat or Walking Cane should have displayed all variations in the Curio Cabinet
  52. Characters are saying "It's a... thing" about Sentimental Adorments
  53. Winter's Feast Limited Time Use skins should be added to the game as woven elegants or loyals that players can redeem on the Rewards for points
  54. More dynamic animations for Wolfgang while he's changing forms
  55. Better Volt Goat Hunting (During Spring rain there would be a chance for a dirt pile to be replaced with a dirt pile that would have a bit of purple fur in it, this dirt pile would lead only to a Volt Goat. The chance for it could be around 33%)
  56. Hunt Suprise Option doesn't work properly. Even if I have Hunt Suprises set as Never. I still can get a dangerous hunt that might end with Varg (even during Rift Cycle when I already killer the Possessed Varg)
  57. Chopped Lune Trees should always spawn 2 Moon Moths with a 10% chance to spawn a third one)
  58. Lune Trees should be affected by the Full Moon, during Full Moon, Moon Moths could spawn from Lune Trees every now and then
  59. Abigail's Gestalt animation should be smoother
  60. Wendy should be able to place Headstones with skins
  61. Festive Lights should appear in gifts for sleeping under the Winter's Feast Tree
  62. Gunpowder should be able to destroy cave bridges

Wow, such a long list of great QoL ideas and not a single one I would be actively against! Well done. Some of them I don't care much about but others are very much needed additions I would be very happy to see implemented (polar light/crystaleyezer not freezing players to death, fossil from deconstructing AF drops, table containers for displaying one item, more statue crafting materials, hostile flare interactions, otter dens places - I would expand on this idea and add a similar placer to wobster and lunar mounds, hound mounds, slurtle mounds and maybe for some other spider den types).

4 I disagree with that if they will nerf the acid rain again it will kill it’s purpose If they will make it less frequent but more dangerous it will fix the problem of the acid rain being annoying more then dangerous

the rest of the list are very nice ideas and I wish klei will add them there is some of them that I don’t see any purpose of adding them. but most of your list are pretty good

I personally find Acid Rains to be really annoying during my playthrough because of their length, but I honestly agree, those should be shorter but more dangerous. Those are ideas that I got while playing both alone and with someone

Another thing I'd add to acid rain mechanics: they should also make things wet just like regular rain does. It really sucks that after turning rifts on you can almost never get wet enemies downstairs, especially for fighting Toadstool.

I secretly wanted some of these for a real while, I’ve collected a couple of qol changes too but I’m refraining myself from posting until I get a more substantial amount like in this post. So far I only disagree with:

I really like the concept of paddling away the marotter den to other places, simply destroying and rebuilding it takes away some flavor of the already poor sailing mechanics. Also with the bootleg it became way easier to do such a thing. Just my thought.

Some people really like decorating with those stones, if they break on landing they would need to deactivate rifts just to have some of those from antlion sinkholes (I’m not sure if you know that it also causes boulders to fall in the caves during summer?). If you dislike them being around the caves you can just mine them with a pickaxe as well. Can’t see a reason why you would want such a change, unless you want them to break only when it lands on a player's head? If that’s your point I can agree but otherwise boulders are nice to have intact.

The rest of the changes I couldn’t agree more. 
But my most wanted are:

2. I’ve wanted to deconstruct fuelweaver stuff into fossils even before being able to deconstruct his products was added to the game, It’s been years and klei just shrug this off, they even nerfed fossils but no change to it.
6. If I have rifts turned on it feels like I’m in a constant battle trying to find where the brightshades are and killing them 3 by 3 when the rifts are done, it never ends. If the spawn rate isn’t turned down at least put a max capacity on how many can appear in a world as it seems they just spread forever. They are cool but god dayum is it too many to fight constantly.
25. Over 3 thousand hours into the game and I never play with critters because of their constant nagging. I love them, I would love to interact and feed them, I have multiple skins to use but I just don’t because them crying all the time give me headaches…
26. This would be such a great addition that would probably please everyone in this community, displaying items is a dream.
43. Always wanted this but at this point it wouldn’t matter much because we only use the shards for infinite light inside a container where we can’t see it. :sad: Winona gemerators are the only structure I can think of that displays the shards.

I keep wondering why Klei works on convoluted, bloated and controversial stuff that makes people grind their teeth in the forums but won’t add these simple things that would hardly be fought against and be super welcomed and praised.

I just find relocationg Marotters really monotone because there's quite a lot of them in the world and they also sink on the deep water + when they are destroyed, they're gone for good. So it would be nice to have them renewable a bit. Boulders in caves usually cluttered my way through the Caves and right next to my staircase I have a big clutter of boulders and mobs with Masques. Maybe a 50% chance for boulders to break when hitting the ground would work. Antlion causes them too fall in caves and if you can manage your time right, she can drop them right next to the staircase of your choice .I honestly wanted to deconstruct Shadow Thuribles that I hav but it feels wasteful to do it rn. The spawn of Brightshades is really big and it's really easy to fill a chest with husks. I used to have a kittykit on every world but their screaming so much pisses me off. Enlightened Shards skins are still a nice little details

Just in case you didn't know, you can prevent the spawn of a klaus sack if you place a structure exactly where the sack spawns.

But I agree, it should be more like the rifts.

The fossils can't be placed so close anymore so It sadly doesn't matter

Isn't it, like, literally what the night light is already doing ? Alright, but give it more range, like at least flingomatic range

Lore wise, it wouldn't make any sense I'm sorry, those are neutral bosses (moose goose is territorial but ok for the great depths worm, this one make sense). 

I agree the hostile flare in term of gameplay require more applications.

Yes, the spider queen, ewecus? and treeguards too. Maybe like a 25% drop chance ? You'd get too much sketches right ?

25% sounds fair, but 100% for ewecus, I don't remember the last time I've seen an ewecus
