Mea2
Want a COOL skill like the picture below, petals floating around her in the wind, with some overpowered effects lasting for a while. The skill can comsume a lot of resource or cool-down time (maybe more than Willow's Lunar Fire-Raiser), but must be COOL! (This would be the opportunity that comes once in a lifetime to petition such a change on Wendy.) Mea2
Update: whether the skill is an outperforming one or a weak one is not so important. What matters is it must be cool and beautiful. Since Wendy has her own object Mourning Glory, why not name this skill: Glory Blossom Another interesting thought about Lunar skill: Let Wendy revive Abigail with a Telltale Heart under the staring of Luna, i.e. in enlightened zones. Her enlightenment would grow 20/min after that. After she leaving enlightened zones, her enlightenment would continue. When her enlightenment reaches full level for 10 seconds, Abigail would be back to normal state, and Wendy's enlightenment is set to zero. If she is not in the enlightened zones at that time, her sanity would be set to zero. To keep Abigail in revived state, Wendy shall control her enlightenment. Abigail (revived) would do things that Wendy does, like attacking, chopping and working (with the same tool in her hand). If Wendy falls asleep due to enlightenment, Abigail would gently wake her up. Mike23Ua
This is sort of the actual in game animation for dismissing Abigail or atleast it WAS until this new skill Tree..? Anyway the old Animation actually visibly sees Wendy “rip” Abigail’s flower up into petals… as Seen Here. As a Wendy Main (& ever since Wendys Rework…) it always deeply confused me Why she could craft extra Abigail flowers as a Crafting Recipe. In the ORIGINAL Dont Starve, it made sense to be able to craft extras because Abigail’s flower may drop to the ground in a Dangerous Location (such as a horde of 20 Pigmen guarding torches. Abigail “dying” in Solo DS also meant that Wendy had to survive for a few days without access to Abigail until the flower could blossom back out again. But in DST when Wendy got her Rework, there is now never a single moment in the game that Wendy is ever actually “Without” Abigail. The Flower never needs to leave Wendy Inventory at all, and even if Abigail “Dies” you can just endlessly keep resummoning her without waiting on the Flower to Bloom. I was hoping that when Wendy FINALLY got her Skill Tree that they would make all of these inconsistencies make sense again… As in: #1 Restore Abigail’s original Downtime of needing to wait for the flower to Rebloom (but allow the player to invest skill points into shortening it back to instant) #2 Make having the option to craft Additional Abigail Flowers actually MAKE SENSE… As In: Allow multiple flowers to have their own Bloomout Rates so if one flower is on Cooldown, a second one could be Fully bloomed & ready to go. Add Additional In-Game challenges and interactions that will make crafting additional Abigail flowers have an actual gameplay loop into playing as her. Such as: Making it so when you “Dismiss” Abigail & Rip the flower apart, it becomes “flower petals” and you need to now craft a New Abigail’s Flower. Frogs that lick the flower out of Wendy’s inventory could get an additional animation of eating it (one of the very few times Reworked Wendy can actually be caught Without an Abigail Flower) Catcoons can steal and rip up the Flower.. TL:DR- Make even being able to craft more than one have an interesting Core gameplay loop to Wendy. And Finally…. If you just want to give Wendy a really cool perk for floating ripped apart Abigail Flowers it could temporarily grant Wendy invisibility cloaking options, (as in Abby posses her body and turns her invisible so all you see on the ground are her feet prints) this would allow sneaking up on enemies to attack or escaping areas you’d want to be stealthy in. But at the extreme cost of destroying Abigail’s Flower and needing to craft a new one each time.
