HeatAndRun
So I briefly looked at Wendy's skill trees, and the potion-related part of her skill tree seems to be a little bit redundant for now. Longer potion duration and more supply for mourning glory sounds like they're having rather similar roles, not offering unique difference between each ones. Strictly speaking the Pipspook skills are a little better because it lets the player to try different types of potions more with more materials. However, even with those skills, since only one potion can be applied to Abigail at a time, Most of her potions are often overshadowed by stronger potions such as Specture Cure-All and Nightshade Nostrum, for a long time. So I'd like to suggest to give Wendy a skill to apply two potions at the same time. To be more specific, 1 small potion and 1 large potion simultaneously. Small Potions : Large Potions : In this way there could be more diverse stratedgy in her gameplay. More than just spamming the strongest potions for winning. Similar to how Wigfrid's Inspiration system can hold multiple songs at once! This14Real
Oh I hope this becomes part of her skilltree, she needs more skills and this is balanced enough to cost 1 insight. Evelo
I hope not just because it would be an essential pick. Skill trees are meant to allow for player choice to matter. Hard for your choice to matter when you feel obligated to pick it 100% of the time. If not, the insight point is worthless and there will be no choice. Mike23Ua
I want to bump this thread but I want to suggest changes to your original idea because… well to be honest I play a bunch of Card Battle RogueLites, And the Idea/Suggestion is drawn heavily from the likes of Slay the Spire, Tainted Grail: Conquest, Inscryption, Ancient Gods, Night of Full Moon, Book of Demons, Etc.. Games that sometimes run on a “Mana” System that have cards that boost other cards. Ill just get to the point before I end up confusing everyone lol… Instead of giving Wendy a “Skill” that grants applying two potions, Give her a Skill that grants her the ability to craft a Brand new potion that requires its own unique ingredients (please don’t lock it behind the stupid rift stuff…) You need to purchase this skill and unlock the ability to craft the new potion, which when used, opens up the ability to apply two potion effects onto Abigail. Or in Card battle game terms: A card Non-Attack that you play to “Get Mana” So you can use an attack card that Requires Mana.
