DST Tournament Format: Random Character Draft

Inspired by Don Giani's boss speedrunning tournament, I wanted to formalize a DST character draft format that I feel will make things really interesting if people want to adopt it in the future. It features a pick and ban system similar to many character based games that all competitors can use.

This system awards broad knowledge of all characters and good adaptability and tactics during picks and bans.

HOW IT WORKS

DST Tournament RANDOM DRAFT ruleset:

1. By default, a 4 player boss speedrun tournament (your rules)
2. In a limited time (default 15 days), kill as many bosses for points
3. Each player bans one character that cannot be used by anyone from all 18 characters
4. Ban order chosen at random (can use random.org lists)
5. Each player then is assigned a DRAFT of 3 unique characters to choose a char from
6. Killing bosses as Wes awards extra points to make the pick viable

The list of characters:
(paste this inside random.org list randomizer, and award the first 3 to Player1, next 3 to Player 2, etc.)

EXAMPLE

Here's how a draft would play out:

1. Players are informed of the ruleset and any extra wildcard rules and twists
2. Randomize the 4 players order:
   1. Player2
   2. Player3
   3. Player4
   4. Player1
3. Player take turns to ban one character each
   1. Player2 bans Wolfgang
   2. Player3 bans Maxwell
   3. Player4 bans Wes
   4. Player1 bans Woodie
4. The remaining 14/18 characters are randomized for drafting:
   1. Wendy
   2. Wortox
   3. Wigfrid
   4. Wanda
   5. Wilson
   6. Wormwood
   7. Warly
   8. Winona
   9. WX
   10. Willow
   11. Wurt
   12. Webber
   13. Wicker
   14. Walter
5. Each player is assigned a random draft of 3 characters in order
   1. First 3 chars go to Player2: Wendy Wortox Wigfrid
   2. Next 3 chars go to Player3: Wanda Wilson Wormwood
   3. Next 3 chars go to Player4: Warly Winona WX
   4. Final 3 chars go to Player1: Willow Wurt Webber
   5. Last two characters are not available to anyone (Wicker, Walter)
6. (Optional swap rule) If any two players agree to it, they can swap their drafts
   (all of their 3 choices for the others' 3 choices)
7. All players pick one of the characters in their draft to play in the tournament
   1. Player1 chooses Willow
   2. Player2 chooses Wendy
   3. Player3 chooses Wanda
   4. Player4 chooses Winona

Then the tournament begins, each players starts their own server with the configuration in the rules, and begins livestreaming.
