I feel it is dishonestly to prioritize the release of new DLC while not release current bugfix and update.

Edit:With the current QOL Update release, the following sentence is completely invalidated.
Thank you Klei, I love you forever, and make Geothermal Pump into Story Trait and able to play other than Ceres start. Pweeese.

Most of this post is just my personal frustration with not seeing this fixed bug reflected but...

I'm sorry to put a damper on the Oni community's hype over the speculation about the release of a new DLC, but despite the many bug reports and fixes in the Bug Tracker and the many posts in Suggestions and Feedback, the last update was over two months ago. Next to that, Don't Starve Together has released two content updates and many bug fixes.

If this is that Klei doesn't update for to prioritize development of the new DLC, I honestly feel that's dishonest. I well aware that Klei must make money, but if Klei doesn't take care of people who have already paid, player could not want to buy the next product.

If the ONI team is short on money, please sell skins and filaments for a fee, like DST does. I think the majority of ONI players are probably happy to pay a lot of money, at least I'll pay.

I'm sorry for saying selfish.

It is unlikely that everyone at Klei is effective at debugging. Artist and game designer cannot just wait and stay idle until the game has all its bugs fixed.

Basically, the developpement of new DLC shouldn't affect debugging all that much as people with expertise in content creation would simply not take part into the begguging, not all of them at least. Hence both task can be proceed at the same time.

Also as you said, they must make money to pay the employees who will debugg the game. And while it may be annoying, a few bugs but a running company will in the long run be better for everyone than a few less bugs and no more games.

One can argue that they may need to hire more people for debugging tho but I do not know the state of their income. perhaps the release of 2 ONI DLC (to my delight) hints for "not so amazingly well and we need some cash influx fast", but this is pure speculation.

A developer has marked this issue as fixed. This means that the issue has been addressed in the current development build and will likely be in the next update.

Just wait for the next update.

Sometimes it is worse. Nothing is written. Complete disregard of the bug report. For example:

Even more rarely, it is even worse. It says "fixed", but when the next update comes out, nothing has actually been fixed. For example:

Guys, I believe that with the new DLC, they will fix several bugs (and obviously new bugs will appear, it's part of development) in the base game. Let's wait... I'm also really looking forward to the DLC. I confess that I really wanted a DLC that brought more advanced technological constructions, like using fewer items and more energy, for example. Alien technologies, etc.

Apparently it's robot themed where we'll be able to make robot dupes with new functionnalities.

At first Ratopia expropriated some ideas from Oxygen Not Included.
Then Ratopia  implemented its own ideas.
Now Oxygen Not Included has expropriated these ideas from Ratopia.

how do you know this (or is this just trust me bro)

Some datamining with many lines referring to robot dupes and oily themed related building.

I wouldn't say trust me bro, just "It appears so".

This would also most likely be better received than "The Toasty planet".

Alternating between different new content will sell better than simply releasing 5 planet related DLC in one go and then having no more new planet because you've exhausted about anything that could have been done.

Robot dupes also fits the narrative of modular DLC. Fits the base game, fits SO, address some short coming of the current game such as "too much energy in end game" or dupes hired later are just bleh. Nothing big obviously, but things can be made around that.

Too much energy? Make something requiring energy and the more you have the more you get out of it.
Later dupes are just weak and take forever to catch up.

What about... boostable dupe requiring power?

It could be something else entirely, but from the data mining it seems to be the intent, and I'm all for it!!!

I haven't played this game in two years, so I'm back today.

I was shocked that Peterhan's Fast Track module was still being updated independently, working tirelessly to provide compatibility for the authorities.

Such a basic, excellent, and low-level mod that involves the game has not yet been officially co-opted. I think anyone who has a bit of a brain in the studio should hire him as a consultant with a lot of money.

The point is, Fast Track improves the underlying operation of the game, which should have been done by official programmers, but now has been served by fans for free for three years.
