About the Big Blast bug of cannon.

Since the start of this super frenzy beta, the cannon triggers the Big Blast skill when heavy attacks are slowly spammed. While this might be a bug, I think it would be really fun to keep this feature.

This new heavy attack combo adds more variety without sacrificing the original characteristics of the cannon. More importantly, it makes mastering the cannon more challenging and rewarding.

There are three heavy attack combos, and each of them has its own advantages, making the strategic use of heavy attacks more complex and enjoyable.

1. Three Quick Heavy Attacks Combo:
This combo provides far recoil distance and allows you to change the recoil direction after each hit, with the third strike stunning enemies. It's an agile and safe option, but the overall damage is relatively low.

2. Double-Click Heavy Attacks Combo:
By double-clicking heavy attacks at intervals, you repeat the first two actions of the first combo without triggering the Big Blast skill. This combo works well with Hit Streak-related powers, and pushes enemies away nicely when the character is against a wall.

3. Big Blast Combo:
This combo offers far-reaching recoil and high single-target damage. However, it has more openings for monsters to attack you compared to the other two combos. It's also harder to adjust the recoil direction while using this combo, requiring a prompt change in the pace of pressing heavy attacks. Additionally, it doesn't pair well with Hit Streak-related powers.

While I really enjoy the Big Blast combo, I agree that its damage is currently too high. It could be balanced by reducing its damage output, making it more effective against single targets but less powerful against multiple enemies. This way, it would remain distinct from normal heavy attacks without being overpowered.

Hey @pyyoo,

As of current plans, this feature is here to stay for the Shellshot Blunderbuss! The Big Blast triggering on delayed Heavy-press was actually a happy accident, but I agree that it adds a nice texture that pushes it apart from other Cannons in a fun way.

We will keep an eye on its damage output given that it can be fired without charging in this way!

What triggers "the Big Blast bug" is essentially a heavy attack (no-ammo heavy attack will also trigger this bug, although the big projectile do not appear, it is observed that the dodge distance is longer) in "blast_TO_land" state, and attacks (whether light or heavy, with or without ammo) in this state cannot change direction, it seems to be because the state's EventHandler does not include this line of code:

SGCommon.Fns.FaceActionTarget(inst, data, true, true)

Can anyone answer whether this inability to change direction is a bug or intentional?
