Debug tools not working.

Howdy Folks, I have been playing for a while now, over 4k hrs so far into Oni, 
used to use Debug mode all the time to test new builds out but recently I just cannot get it to work.
i have the debug_enable.text file in the Oxygen not included Data folder, Ive added it to the main folder as well, 
CTRL and F4 doesnt do anything, the back space dose not pull up the debug mode to add in the dev generator and pumps and such, I cannot get the game to do a dig all command either or clear the floor.
ive tried 3 different keyboards, one being about as basic as you can get to a brand new Razor.

completely at a loss why this isnt working
wondering if folks have had this issue or have any ideas on how to get it back to working again.

Hi Sirpanax, I don’t know when the debug mode was changed, but I still use this mode as follows: when you are on the game’s home screen, just type “kleiplay”. You can confirm by checking if the letter D appears at the end of the game version number in the bottom left corner of the screen. I hope this helps. (English is not my native language, sorry for any mistakes)

It wasn't changed, both methods have been available from the start. Typing kleiplay is a temporary debug mode that resets when you quit the game.

It needs to be debug_enable.txt, not debug_enable.text, you have a typo in your extension.
