SpomJ Posted October 5, 2024 Share Posted October 5, 2024 For such an obvious QoL feature it's surprizingly neither in vanilla, nor in the mods. I propose one of several solutions: Autosave on quit, keep the saves as separate: the one a player saves manually (overwrites with a corresponding save button), the one quitting saves, and the timed autosaves. This doesn't require any additional buttons, settings and can be seamlessly integrated into existing player experience. Toggle for autosaving in settings, write autosave in place of player save or add to timed autosave queue. This could create some unwanted scenarios. c-lipka Posted December 8, 2024 Share Posted December 8, 2024 While we're at it: When I enter the menu and save, the game clearly recognizes it has just been saved - it even replaces the "save" button with an informational text to this effecct. If I then quit without returning to the game, why do I still get asked whether I want to save or not? I just did, and you, dear game, are fully aware of this fact, so please stfu.
