Idea for bottle acquisition

Since bottles have more value late game due to the icker preserve, I was thinking could there be a better way to obtain empty bottles since their uses are starting to expand?

obviously their base purpose is to be traded with pearl, then we have growth formula kits and now we have the icker preserve. 

I'm open to ideas here, but here is mine... I noticed when I was investigating the spawn locations and conditions of the bottles, a little note caught my attention.

What if we could - 

1. trade moonglass for bottles/replica bottles (so as to not throw off the acquisition of pearls recipes and trades)
2. trade bottles for a recipe for moonglass bottles

Nothing particularly special, just a thought and I would like to see what people think.

I'm not sure if more bottles is necessary. Crafting the icker preserve returns three empty bottles. Same for the growth formula; after you use it up, you get the bottle back.

Fair, on those concepts I suppose this was a weak argument, but the new use of placing icker blobs on the ground that can effect even flying mobs for slowing traps would have been a better case for this. The big reason this could be a deal breaker for this, is the fact that in using the bottles like this breaks them so having ones we could make instead seems better.

Maybe we could just make craftable wooden bottle that had the exact same uses but the cristal bottles we found on the ocean are the only ones that pear trades with

Marotters drop message bottle by 5% chance, so you can somewhat mass-produce the bottles if you gather the dens in one place.
