Say pal, let's play a game. (Which character could you imagine "speaking" this music? / what scene could this represent? )

Recommended Posts

I honestly didn't know in which subforum I should post this, as this is more supposed to work like a game then a discussion thread, but people can free to use it as general discussion too :) No need to keep it game-thread like. Feel free to turn this into a funny thread, but please remember to post a new music inbetween so the game can stay alive.

The idea was:

User a posts a link to anything music. ( can be vocal, instrumental, anything, no restrictions )

User b posts what scene came into their mind in which one or several character(s) may use this as "voiceline" or actual SING this music in THEIR instruments voice. (instrument doesn't need to sound similar. It's more like: This music fits to character's personality and I could imagine them speaking this way or this could be a voiceline in some funny situation)

Then user b posts their link to anything music.

(feel free to already add your own interpretion for the music you share before someone has answered to it.)

[ I will mostly just watch and enjoy what ideas people come up with ^^ ]

OK I start by throwing in this music: (feel free to use all or just a part for your interpretion)

I could see that being the voice of the unimplemented Winnie

^^ That's an adorable idea for a voice! *I just had to look winnie up, sorry I wasn't aware of her before. I just saw she has soundfiles, and with those in mind the twisted nerve melodies are sounding relatable funny enough*

I may be too primed by the twisted nerve melody's origin and therefore actually had it in mind for Willow and her destructive nature, which is quite a contrast xD

The first half made me picture wormwood pre dst, relaxing in the jungle of hamlet with his plant friends, without a single care in the world, nothing else matters. Its just him, the singing birds up above and his plants giving him company

The secound half makes me picture wheeler exploring a ruins of some sort, tense and on edge, knowing a single wrong step could cost her life. Yet at the same time she feels exited. The exitement of exploring something long forgotten driving her deeper into the forgotten halls

I am so surprised to see all those positive associations with the music! About the opposite of what I had been expecting. (But I can picture it when listening to the music, I especially adore the assiociation with Wheeler for the more 'climax' part of the suite.)

I suppose I will continue to see if more associations get posted, or someone has another music-example input for the game, before I may progress by positing another tune myself. (I will probably rely on positing non-vocal music, but the game is not restricted to this.)
